DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins
2015 stats (7 games): 4 receptions, 49 yards, 0 touchdowns.
The Parker buzz was building during the early portion of the offseason, but unfortunately, he suffered an injury and missed a lot of time. He has been in and out of the lineup this fall and made very little impact. I expected him to be a strong possession receiver and dynamic red-zone threat. That has yet to happen.

Hopefully next year Parker can contribute to the team when he is healthy.

I can't click on tbe link FFC because I wanted Gurley so dont want to be reminded. Lol. It would have been interesting if Gurley and Parker were both there what would the pick have been? guess will never know.

I wanted Gurley as well having watched him at UGA but I doubt he would have made much difference short term in Miami.

Parker was a good pick and will be a nice weapon when he's healthy.

The most impressive thing Gurley did was get down after he picked up the first down to ice the game in the Arizona game, really impressive football IQ for the rookie.

Cooper looked like a once in a decade type prospect to me. That Raiders team is coming around and has a real chance to escape the black hole of mediocrity (no pun intended).

I really enjoy watching this guy run but I never wanted Miami ton draft him because he is one major knee injury away from being done entirely. See what happened to Leveon?

The problem with Miami and rookie playmaker has been and has always been trust. Rather than letting young players do what they're good at doing, they'll rather wait till they're complete player. take Ajayi for instance, give him the ball and let him run the damn thing but no he has to learn how to block. Seriously ? who cares if he can't block..the guy is the big tough running back the team needs but wait he can't block ??? this kills me. If they get a good pass rusher, they will sit him until he could run block. That's the Miami way.

Yeah I hate it. I think Miami is afraid to hedge their bets on the positives of rookies.
They probably think if they bring Ajayi on the field, the defense will think "they must be running it, since they likely wont use him to pass block." But what if Ajayi was that good of a runner, even with the defense tipped off, he could still churn some yards just on yards after contact alone? I see guys like Lynch get big yards even when the defense thinks they're going to go straight at him. Big dudes are hard to bring down. It also tires out defenders going after the brawny types throughout a game. Too much soft-finesse action keeps the opponent fresh and hungry, as we've all seen.

Your QBs, TEs and WRs cares if he can't block. If Ajayi was a special player like Gurley, then I can see your point about just giving him the ball and letting him run, but he is not. Therefore he has to learn how to block if he wants to get significant playing time.

For such a big tough running back he did a lot of dancing during the preseason.

I completely agree, the guy is named beast mode,jr

I think drafting a RB high is a slam-dunk and a WR is a roll of the dice

but I never ever want to take a RB in the first round because they get brutalized and can be gotten later

in my 20-20 hindsight I see we had alot of needs and WR wasn't really a big one. when you have many needs, drafting for need is not a bad thing

THEN you look at the guys taken after DVP and you see that other than CB there wasn't alot there so what are ya gonna do? maybe I have it in my mind that every CB we draft is gonna suck balls.

Jamar Taylor was highly rated and now he plays with his head up his ass

damn if only the next Ray Lewis had been there at 14

Parker would be getting more time, but Matthews has been playing very well. Why would you pull a guy who is playing well over an unknown? Might as well let him get more healthy and ease into the NFL

Parker had foot surgery and was out all summer so its not surprising it took him awhile to get up to speed, but if its me im getting him on the field more than he has been. Its time to let him loose, let him get some game action. I like landry and matthews alot but i would give parker reps over stills. Stills isnt bad but parker needs to see the field at this point. He was drafted to be a playmaker, a first round top 20 pick, and he needs to be on the field to make plays.

Ajayi was drafted in the middle rounds and he seems like he can be a very good back, probably better than gray and williams at this point. Ajayi is the tough physical runner thay would compliment millers style. Watch ajayis youtube highlight video from college and you will see he breaks tackles and makes people miss. I get it that if he cant pass block hes a liability but dallas thomas cant pass block and his ass is out there every sunday so i say who gives a **** if he cant pass block. I say activate him and ease him in with some carries. Give miller 15-20 something carries and let gray aand ajayi get around 5 or so each. Damien williams sucks he should be inactive.

I think we should have went defense first round....WR is a crap shoot especially when they have a foot problem....unfortunately I don't thing Parker will ever live up to his draft position....I know its early but I have not seen anything that says this guy has some special qualities.....he looked good running around catching passes in his shorts and t-shirt but nothing since.....he doesn't look fast, doesn't run good routes, doesn't come across as someone who is football smart....hopefully I am wrong and he has a good rest of the yr and great offseason and is ready and healthy next summer.....the last time we had a rookie start like this he ended up suspended for the yr, still waiting for him to show up.....

Gurley is a beast, he will be the next Peterson, the guy has speed, power and smarts and he's not 100% yet......Cooper is another talent....guy can cut on a dime, has real football speed, has great hands and is smart.... they will both be huge success in this league.....

Hmmmm....jvw...

Ajayi might turn out to be as productive as Gurley, plus we got Parker as well. I think that was the plan. I hope it all comes together by the end of the season to have hope for next year.
Next year, MLB, OLine and CB. Multiple picks at each position and sign free agents. We have to get those weaknesses shored up.
