Being barely 5'7 I'm counting on Grant to do an admirable job representing the rest of us short guys.
 
Early days but with that speed there could be matchup issues for the opposing Defenses and he could be a real weapon. Don't forget Jakeem hasn't had a QB with Tannehill's accuracy before. Interesting to note that when Tannehill started talking about his new weapons he went straight to Jakeem Grant. He didn't start with Caroo, the much higher drafted player.

I can't lie, I love these small, fast, underdog type players....I hope he is really involved in the offense this year.
 
You gotta love this I bet half the QBs dont even know a rookie wr name until week 10 lol
 
Obviously, we wont see for sure what we have until game day.

However, for those of us who have been watching the nfl for a long time all know, or should know, we havnt seen anyone with grants moves since barry sanders. The thing is, hes also WAAAAY faster than sanders ever dreamed of being. I dont see why he wasnt drafted sooner. Its not like he is some juco schmuk. Four inches taller and 15 lbs heavier isnt diddly and there are hundreds and hundreds of guys with those measurements who are selling shoes in the mall or twirling "taco tuesday" signs on the street corner who didnt have even a smidge of grants moves and speed and couldnt make it in the nfl.

Oh well. Our good fortune!! For a change. Love hearing these things from camp no matter how early it is.

I said several times since we drafted him that he could be lethal in many different ways, wr, rb, gadget plays (flea flicker to grant? Oohhhh baby!!!) and of course, special teams. I said right off the bat grant would be on the field early and be on it much more than most think he will. Looks like at least tanny knows it!!

I have been wanting this team to have this kind of player for years and years. We never went after the darren sproles types in the draft or free agency and then watch them make huge game changing plays against us and the rest of the nfl. I think its a good bet we may have stumbled into one of those once every other decade talents. Super excited about this kid!!! :kick:
 
If he's shifty enough to not take hits he will be a nightmare for opposing defenses. One square shot on that 165 lb tiny frame though ....
 
I'm going to feel a little sad if/when any of these rookies meets the Turk this year. I can see all of them making contributions except for perhaps Doughty, who I think will impress after a year on PS.

And I wish they'd called him "Ant-Man" instead of "Mighty Mouse". More topical.

Aside from ST's, how does he get on the field as a WR, with Parker, Landry, Stills and Carroo on the field?
