Mark Schlereth and Mike Hill are hosting but Greeny and Golic did a taped segment. This is what they said.

First Question was about Joe Philbin- Both said they like Philbin and feel he's doing a good job of changing the culture of the team.

2nd Question: Will Miami regret cutting Chad Johnson? Golic said he felt from an on field standpoint we would miss him as we don't have a lot of talent at WR. Greeny said the same thing, but with what Philbin wants to do it was the right move.

3rd Question: Will being on Hard Knocks be a distraction for the team? Both said no as Philbin seemed to be doing a good job keeping the team focused.

Record: Both said 5-11 but they said that they felt the team could/should win more based on coaching and defense as the team lost a lot of close games. They just said based on our schedule they didn't know how many we would get. But the arrow is pointing up for us.

Hill and Schlereth talked live about us. Hill said Tannehill is a good QB and he likes what he sees from them, but rookie coach, rookie QB, and no playmakers ar WR would hurt us. Schlereth agreed saying the WR position is what's gonna hold us back this year. Both said we'd go 6-10.

It was actually a well thought out segment and no real bashing or put downs like there have been in the past.
 
I agree that we could be 5-11. That is why I think we need to be patient with elements (the H.C. young QB) of this team. HOWEVER, where I have hope and disagree with Mike and Mike is saying they "do not see on the schedule where wins can come from". I think the sked is soft and perhaps if the Fins can get a strong performance under center and the defense play like they have in the past they could sneak a few more wins.
 
I heard it too, expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised by how even-handed it was... although based on the way we finished, our upgrades and the SOS this season, I'm a lot more optimistic than 5 wins.

I agree with the schedule part, i was listening as well and thats the part that made me again realize they dont actually look into topics and do research before they make statements, they just watch sportscenter highlights and go with the popular opinion, and saying the schedule is a slight against Miami just proves that, this is the same type of schedule that Miami went 11-5 with Pennington, Ted Ginn, Greg Camarillo, Derek Hagan and Brandon London so lets not act like they are facing the NFC East and AFC North, Greeny would never admit that at least 1 of Miami's wins will come against his NY Tebow's who he predicited to go 12-14 last year....
 
Our schedule is soft and once a starting QB is chosen they can begin gelling with receivers. I'm not so down on the wide receiving group, however. Yeah, we don't have a clear top guy, but so what? In the WCO you don't really need a clear #1 guy, its by committee. What you need are guys that can catch in traffic and get YAC. Bess and Clay are pretty good in the middle, but we need Wallace, Pruitt or 7-11? LOL -- someone needs to step up and make plays from out wide. And don't forget Bush and Miller catching passes out of the backfield.

Has anyone noticed how since the Front Office have opened things up to media and fans, we are getting a bit more love from the talking heads? We still get bashed abit, but maybe the fact that the previous FO told media types to "hit the bricks" it caused some underlying disdain towards the franchise.

We are better than 5-11 though

I think we're getting more love because we aren't running under an outdated philosophy.
 
Damn, do we not notice that a 5-11 record is worse than Tony Sparano's record in any year. I still think that they should have kept Brandon Marshall.
 
The difference in this season is going to be the defense, will the D shut down opponents and keep the game close? If they do Miami has a shot at 9-7 or 10-6, if they don't Miami could go 7-9 or 6-10. This is an 8-8 team with a +/-2 win differential depending on luck/chance and effort.

From what you stated(I did not see the show) they actually sounded objective. I have to agree. If we have bad bounces or some injuries, we could be 5-11.

If we stay healthy, RT and the WR rookies exceed the low expectations, and get some calls and good bounces, maybe 10-6.

My prediction is a 3 way tie at 7-9, we will be tied for 2nd with Buffalo. The Jerks will finish 7-9 too, but lose the tie breakers. The Rats will cruise to 13-3.

the 2nd team looked at was Buffalo, and they are really high on Buffalo so that's another reason they have us going 5-10. They have Bills going 8-8 but said they would not be shocked if they went 10-6.
 
7-9 is my general feeling about this team, but we've learned that you never know with the NFL.

I can give easily give you reason for optimism. This was a team that should've been 8-8 last year, and in fact outscored its opponents by 16. This year's schedule seems siginificantly easier than last year's, and if Tannehill actually turns out to be an upgrade at QB, then you can't tell me 10+ wins is impossible.

Projections like 5-11 don't really make a whole lot of sense to me. Not to say we can't go 5-11...because we could. But I think 11-5 is just as likely as 5-11.
