i would update with what they said but im going to listen in bed cause i need to go to sleep

yea i didnt see it but they did an update about the teams they were gonna do... gouleck or how ever u spell his name.... said we were gonna go 9-7 they other mike said we were gonna go 10-6... i like the 10-6 alls i heard them say was what they thought our records were gonna be im sure they went in depth when they were disscussioning it but i didnt catch that part :dolphins:

Golic was pretty much negative on the entire team.
* He thought Daunte is playing too soon.
* He was very skeptical that Ronnie Brown could be an every down back.
* He basically intimated that the Defense was aging, ranked #18 last year and is headed down rather than up.

He predicted 9-7; Greeny - 10-6.

I don't like Golic's analysis and never have. His analytical skills are pretty poor.

I agree that Culpepper might be playing too much too soon.

Ronnie Brown will be fine unless he gets an injury. This guy is strong and a horse. His legs are huge.

While the D was ranked #18 - the D rankings don't tell the story at all. It's all about yards allowed. But, it took some time to get the D going last year in Saban's complex system. Golic never mentioned that we had an incredible sack total and made a ton of big plays. It's more geared toward a big-play defense - rather than a 'shut-down' D. It is true we are aging, but we have more depth on the D-line than we've probably ever had. And, we really have only one older LB - Zach. The D-backfield is younger than it's been in many years.

Golic said we would be 9-7
We are rushing back Daunte
Didnt know if Ronnie could carrie the load....has not proved he can yet.
Defense is on the decline.
And some other stuff I cant remember.

9-7? To me, that's an absolute worst-case scenario. Golic's out of his mind. I guess we changed nothing from last year.

I simply dont understand how people can question whether Ronnie is an every down back.. Brown is one of the bigger backs in the league! He hasnt really had injury issues, and he lays the wood on defenders..

I dont agree but i can see the skepticism in Ronnie carrying the load. He has never had the oppurtunity to do so people will questin it. Has Ronnie ever had more than 300 carries in a season?

Greeny said we would be very good then gave us a record of 10-6?? Thats just above average you dimwhit! I agree we may be rushing daunte back but the rest is way full of poop. Our defense is old, heck half the guys are new! what are you thinking you donut eating dont know nothing.

Wow Golic, I mean this is his 2nd year in the league. he shared time with a great RB last year. No duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ronnie will be fine

We play 8 teams that "earned" a top 10 pick in the draft last year.

Miami and New England have it so easy this year it wouldn't surprise me if both went 11-5 and made it to the playoffs.

Golic just isn't very bright in my opinion. I know people say we haven't proven anything yet, but with such an easy schedule it wouldn't be sticking your neck out to give us better than 9-7

People question Ronnie's capability to carry the load for a full season -- well because he HASN'T done it yet ... neither in college or pros ..

It's not a knock on him or his ability ...

But its the same as the PATS / PHINS comparisons right now .... the PATS have won ... PHINS have not ... and until we prove the PHINS can win the division ... it's a mute point !!

IF Ronnie gets thru the whole season ... then end of story

I agree, I think Garlic is just, plain, dumb. He never gives any insight, and his 'personal stories from camp' don't impress me. The guy didn't do much in the NFL. And his tenure was so long ago mixed with not long enough that I don't hold his opinion very highly. He doesn't seem to get inside info either, he just guesses like christmas treeing a test. He hung around based on riding his brothers coattails, and being on a D coached by a legend in Buddy Ryan, and playing behind Clyde Simmons, Reggie White, Jerome Brown, et al. Now thats an easy situation to be in... "Golic, why don't you start?" "I'm sitting behind legends, who would be able too" Had he been on a bad team, like when he went to the dolphins, he didn't even play and was cut if I'm not mistaken.

Ronnie has willingly split carries due to the simple fact that he has had a very talented back other than himself on the team every where he has been.

Caddy and Ricky.

He could have been (and was) the primary ball carrier and the starter but he knew, for the team that it was better to have and use 2 horses rather than one.

He is not a Portis,Larry Johnson, or Willis McGahee. Guys that demand to carrythe load!

He is a "TEAM" guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank HEAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
