It will be interesting to see if McDaniel kicks the tires on another one of his RB's now that Mike Davis was cut by the Falcons. He looks like the was a late bloomer, but never really got a foothold with Patterson leading the way in Atlanta. He seems like a short yardage type of back to me, but that may not be necessary if we are carrying a FB on the roster.

Davis left the 49ers after the 2016 season. McDaniel was hired by the 49ers in 2017. So as far as I can see, McDaniel never coached on a team with Davis on the roster. I doubt the Dolphins see him as an upgrade over the RB’s now on their roster.
