I was just watching NFL tonight on ESPN HD and one of the guys (maybe Stu) jokingly asked Ditka... "Coach is Joey Harrington the best QB in the NFL"? Without missing a beat Ditka said he is the best QB in Miami. Which resulted in the other guys ooohing and ahhing.
I accidently posted this in the wrong forum earlier.
 
yeah i saw that Ditka also said Jason Taylor might be the best defensive player in the game right now
 
I saw that and I agree with the ooooer and ahhhhers. My guess is that Ditka doesn't watch the games, he just knows the numbers and has someone type his script for him. He is right about Taylor being the best DL in football. But by no stretch of the imagination is Joey the best QB on our roster.
 
Great line by the coach. Ya gotta love that stuff. Hey, at least they're talking about Miami!

this posts makes no sense at all. If he were looking at just the numbers, he wouldn't say those things about Joey because his numbers are so-so.
 
right now, joey IS the best qb in miami considering one is jumping around on 1 leg and the other has no nfl experience

Exactly, and Joey hasn't played so-so. Yesterday he played so-so but other than that, he's been bad. He probably looked at the stats from the Chicago game and saw that he had 3 TDs when really the defense was the one who put us in postion for those scores. He probably didn't care to get a look at all of his under and over throws either.

So the tally on Harrington supporters includes Ditka, Urlacher, and Saban so far. The last one is what matters most.

I was thinking the same thing.
 
They said that Jason Taylor is the best defensive player in the game.
 
And yet it turns into another Joey Bashing thread......Keep up the good fight....
 
Has there been one athelete, coach or GM that hasnt said that Harrington is the best QB on Miami. The only place you will find people thinking the 2006 version of Daunte is better than the 2006 version of Harrington is on FinHeaven. People outside of Finheaven think Daunte should wait till next year to play

It's about time he was able to do that. If he can continue to limit his mistakes, we can make a run. I know I'm rough on Joey, but I so badly want to win football games that I don't care who's doing it for us. It's not that I don't like him, I just want to win games and he hasn't been playin that great in his starts.
