ok i may be wrong here but i was really impressed by nick harper and the other guy sanders...i dont recall the colts doing so well when sanders was out with an injury...this could be why doss is not so hotly pursued...

Insider Analysis http://espn.go.com/i/in.gifGrade62Expert's TakeDoss is a veteran who played in only six games in 2006 before being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. He is a tough, competitive player who is more natural near the line of scrimmage than extended out in deep zones. He shows good instincts in his recognition skills to both run and pass. In the passing game, he has an upright pedal and can be restricted in his movement due to stiffness in hip flexibility. He is not fluid in his transition with stop-and-go ability and is more effective in short zone than deep zones, where he doesn't have a lot of extended range. Doss has decent ball skills but doesn't always take the proper angles to the ball in flight. He shows some awareness in zones and is more natural with plays in front of him, and he does have some short-area cover skills when matched up with either a tight end or running back. Against the run, Doss a physical insert player with good straight-line speed and the control to run the alleys and maintain leverage on the ball carrier. He takes good angles and brings his feet to the ball carrier and is effective as an open-field tackler in space. Overall, Doss is still a young, developing strong safety who has starter value in the NFL with additional value on special teams coverage units. However, he does have some medical concerns after the knee injury last season.
Your local guy here. Doss is good, the knock on him is injury. Look into it deeper and it could be their safeties were taking on to many tackles because of the small dline in indy. at least that was the story here. I know he hasn;'t played since week 8 and didn't play in the playoffs either. (Jim Mora ahh pahh Playoffs, Playoffs)
funny you mention that bro I saw anquan boldin in west palm @ LA fitness I guess thats where he works out during the offseason
