Mike Florio: Manning will use Dolphins to drive up price with another team

The shyster has long had a hard-on over The Fins.. but not discounting that, like a broken clock, he may end up being right once or twice. Generally I don't place much credence in his op-ed takes. :idk:

This^^

Florio, the failed attorney, is a known Dolphins ***** and also a dick sucker of anything Patriots. His tabloid style of writing is nothing more than hyperbole, assumptions, and bias. He's a clown.

so a guy has criticized a franchise like Miami and praised one like NE? Can we step back form our fandom and realize why? Don't you think NE has earned praise for being the best franchise in the sport while your franchise has earned criticism? I hear the same things from my fellow Jet fans too but NE has earned their praise. When you win 3 SBs and 5 conf titles in a decade that's pretty good.

Manning using the Dolphins isn't the concern. The concern is that in pursuing him (waiting for a decision, waiting for a report from doctors, etc) we pass up other options in free agency and the draft and end up with nothing.

Of course he's going to use us to drive up the price for other teams. Vice versa as well. This is how negotiations work.

It's business.

Nothing to see here.

Wouldn't draft day become real interesting if Manning signs with Washington and Flynn signs with Cleveland. The only team ahead of us that could potentially draft a qb is Jacksonville and I doubt they will with B.Gabbert in the fold.

1.Indy-A.Luck
2.StLou-J.Blackmon
3.Min-M.Kalil
4.Cleve-T.Richardson/K.Wright
5.TB-M.Claibourne
6.Wash-R.Reiff
7.Jack-Q.Coples/K.Wright

Whomever signs Manning is still in play to draft a QB...

Telling u right now it ain't Washington. Never will be. He's to smart to go to a ****ty team.

He would choose Arizona over them 100%. If I'm him I'm taking Arizona because in Miami u have jets and NE than Pitts than Balt than your thinking I Have to fight those CONSISTENT TEAMS where as the only consistent team in the NFC are the G and the pack and they are easier to beat than Balt or Piit or NE

That's pretty funny: NE PIT BAL are harder to beat then the previous 2 SB winners

I'm not buying this, I know we've been used in the past but for Manning?

Whats not to like?

As you say he has a home in South Florida, Ross will pay him big $$$$.

Good defence, elite reciever in BM#19, two cracks at Brady a year, some strong pieces on the O-Line (Long, Pouncey) with RT to be upgraded in the draft, vastly improved run game with Reggie, bright young and hungry coaching staff.

Why wouldn't he seriously consider that?

While I don't want Manning, I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Not in the first couple rounds when you need to help Manning now.

I could see whomever drafts Manning also taking Tannehill, seeing as he is viewed as a great prospect who may need to sit a season or two...

Well if we are driving the price up on someone else specially if it's an adversary then that's good for us as well. Also proves our owner is willing to spend to win. That's good as well and if Manning doesn't come here that could be good for us too. Seems all good too me.

Its not funny because its simple.

NE, Pitt, Bal have been consistently tops in the NFL for about 5 years at least. I'm talking about game in game out, NYG are a great team don't get me wrong but very inconsistent, they played up to their opponents level. Packers are a great team as well, prob the best talent wise but again, are not as consistent over a period of time game by game.

Manning will sign a restructured contract with the Colt, or he will retire. The only kind of leverage Manning is looking for is from a doctor.
