I searched the forum for this and didn't see any other threads about this. If I missed one, I apologize.

Living in Upstate New York has three major drawbacks...Number 1: Lake Effect Snow...and lots of it!!! Number 2: 99% of the football coverage here is on the Bills Number 3: Most of the cable sports shows are devoted to the Jets.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Mike Francesca, he's a sports radio guy out of NYC who has a radio show. He is a big-time Jet lover. For ****s and giggles, I decided to tune into his show on Tuesday Morning to see what he'd have to say about the Jets' loss. He prefaced his game analysis by saying, "And wasn't it great looking at a franchise quarterback out there last night? Oh yeah, and Sanchez was good too."!!?? He was gushing about Chad Henne. He had nothing but great things to say about the Wildcat and said Rex Ryan was thoroughly outcoached by the Dolphins. He also addressed Bart Scott, telling him to "shut up" and that "you win and then you talk, not the other way around".

It was just really cool to see that there is at least one Jets radio guy out there who isn't consistantly wearing the green rose colored glasses.

Couldn't find the video online but I felt compelled to share.

He might be. I don't listen to him enough to know for sure, but he does at least like the Jets, but not that morning. He said the Jets Defense got their ***** kicked up and down that field and it's time for them to shut up and get back to basics.
 
He's absolutely right. In a couple of years Jets fans will screaming for his head because just like his daddy, he started hot but then the ego took ahold and caused foolish decisions.

I still can't get over the comment about not using his timeouts because he didn't think the Dolphins would score. What a buffoon.

That comment floored me too. We had put up 400+ yards of offense that night against them and our running game was too much for them. That's just pure bravado, ego and ignorance running through his brain.
 
I live in NY and have to listen to his crap everyday. He is actually a Bill Parcells HOMER. He claims to be close friends with him. He really doesn't have much loyalty in the football world he is more a baseball guy and is a DIEHARD Yankee fan...

exactly - he is close friends with Parcells.

And he has no favorite football team...but he's FAR from a Jets homer. He generally just likes football and I don't think he has any favorite team of note.
 
Francesa is NOT a Jets fan or homer.

Francesa is best friends with Bill Parcells and owns race horses with Parcells.

Francesa doesn't have an NFL team he roots for, he roots for whoever Parcells coached in the past but has stated since Parcells isn't coaching he doesn't root for Miami, but doesn't root against them either.
 
These are the facts about Francessa: He's a big football fan but has no loyalty to either NY team. Generally, he respects the Giants like he does the Yankees, and often talks tongue in cheek about the Jets like he does about the Mets. He is definitely a pretty good friend of Parcells but doesn't like to talk about it too much on air. He does root in some way for Parcells' teams but doesn't gush. The most 'inside-info' I have heard from him considering Parcells & The Fins was when he talked last year and this year about the front office loving Henne.

You took the words right out of my mouth!!! BP and Francesa have been friends for years!!!
 
francesa became friends with parcells when he was coaching the giants and they did a tv show together..so he always knows whats going on with the team he's coaching/front office..
 
he is a giants and yankee fan, and the tuna and him are friends,
