Dolphins source tells me no official decision has been made yet on Chad Johnson. However, this is what I'm told by a variety of sources. There are members of the organization that want to cut ties immediately but are being convinced to hear his side of story first. But I'm told that when Johnson told team he had a zero tolerance policy for distractions. I think this counts as a distraction... So unless Johnson's explanation is rock solid the people who want to release him sooner than later will win out--sooner than later.I think it's also safe to say the Dolphins have great skepticism about Chad Johnson's version of events. But that could change. Who knows?

If this event doesn't count as a distraction his crazy wife certainly should.

Take hold of the locker room, Joe. Here is your chance.

Ben Volin was on ESPN News & said he would not be leaving his phone or computer cause indicators are Philbin will be meeting with Chad Johnson & he will be potentially be let go. They expect something to break tonight.

Either we kick his A_S out the Door or the new coach has no credibility.. He won't be here when were are relivent. Let the New QB grow with the WR's we have.. Lets 86 -- 85!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on Joe.... I'm rooting for you!

I hope he is gone. The commentators even spoke of the chorus of boos the other night on his one and only opportunity. To me, that says that the folks down here want no part of him or his crap.

Either way it doesn't look good. They are still newlyweds for Christ sake. Either Johnson is crazy and violent, his wife is crazy and violent or both are crazy and violent. I think the latter. Unless he is filing for divorce I can't imagine this is the last time we will hear about this couple's dysfunction in the media.

It would be kind of hypocritical to keep him after shipping Marshall off.

I'm one who opts in giving #85 a last chance. He's come this far to know the playbook, he's listened to the coaching staff when it comes to internal behavior, which tells you he really does want to play.

On the other hand, if Philbin gives him a second chance, he may give the impression that he is a soft coach, not to mention, the rest of the team will consider they too have second chances.

However, I get the feeling if Chad is given a last chance, he will be self-disciplined unlike ever before knowing damn well he is on a short leash both on and off the field.

In the end, who knows which way is best to play out... but one thing is for sure, this whole incident does not bode well for the team = /

If every guy in the NFL got cut after experiencing trouble with the law the NFL might have to drop 3 franchises. This crap happens all the time but it's being blown up due to it being Chad Johnson. If this was an O-Linemen none of you would give a *&^%

I think rushing to cut him is foolish, not defending Ocho but players get accused all the time and I think letting NFL Security complete their review first is in order.

Either we kick his A_S out the Door or the new coach has no credibility.. He won't be here when were are relivent. Let the New QB grow with the WR's we have.. Lets 86 -- 85!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont understand how the coach losses credibility if they keep him? Guess what Philbin doesnt have total say on whos on the team and who gets cut. They most likely listen to philbin and take in his opinion but if Ireland says he stays then Philbin cant just cut him. And if thats the case i dont see how its Philbins fault. Now if Philbin tells these guys to please keep him cuz the rest of the WRs totally blow then thats one thing but we probably wont know who said what.

Funny part is if he catches that slant on friday or better, if he takes that pass for a TD people would be singing a different toon.

Well if he's cut the main reason is definitely the headbutt incident, but dont think the sharp play of Wallace and Pruitt isnt making the decision easier.

hope we get to see some of the coaching staff conversations on HK
