To quote the great Forrest Gump,
Chad Johnson is making the Miami Dolphins look rather stupid. Remember Chad told Coach Philbin on Hard Knocks "we're different", and Coach responded saying "yeah, but you don't always have to agree with me"....that type of response leaves the door wide open for stupid conduct like this to take place. What I expected outta Joe Philbin was a stern leader who wouldn't tolerate ignorance. Isn't this why we got rid of what's his face? So what's the thought process behind aligning ourselves again with such a wildly unpredictable character like this? Have we not learned our lesson of stupidity? Is it not smarter to build with youthful players that can be molded and indoctrinated into our own way of thinking? Or are over-the-hill, and run-of-the-mill athletes that serve as premier stop gaps worth the headaches they cause to everyone? Simply put, those players impede on the progress of rookies and unproven players because past expectations are often associated with them, so their abilities get the benefit of the doubt in most cases. Those are easy decisions to make for front offices. But what I wanna know is when are we gonna start taking better risks? Until we fully comit to the unknown prospects, we will be doomed to repeat past mistakes and failures. Coach Philbin and the entire franchise is looking guilty by association right now...not a good look and not how you would like to start your tenure.
And nothing could be more stupid than doing the same thing, and expecting different results.
Don't let me down Joe!
Stupid is, as stupid does
