That son of a *****! :fire:

ESPN - After a long courtship with a handful of teams, point guard Mike James has decided that Minnesota is the place for him, agreeing to sign a four-year contract worth an estimated $25 million. Other teams in the hunt for James were the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks .

James will now team with rookie Randy Foye and veteran Ricky Davis to form a formidable backcourt to help superstar Kevin Garnett.

honestly makes no sense to me...james will be good for a year but when McCants is back and healthy hes a 2 guard, foye will move to the 1 and where does that leave james. Should of signed with the rockets :nono:

He lead people to believe that he would sign with the Rockets.

I found out that he picked the Wolves because they offered him more money in the contract. That greedy son of a *****.

He just proved to himself that he is only a me player(already know he was one, but this makes him an even bigger me player) and only cares about himself because he said that he would accept less to play for the Rockets.

Now I guess we will have to go to plan B. Too bad I don't know what plan B is.

Didn't see that one coming.

That's because in the NBA, you need at least three guards who can really play. Mike James, Randy Foye, & Rashad McCants are fine. Trenton Hassell is the situational defender, and Marko Jaric/Troy Hudson aren't exactly bad players. Also, Mike James is 31-years old. Did he really expect to be a long-term solution for a team at PG? I highly doubt that. Minnesota now has a lot of guards they can move, too. They should be able to get a draft choice for Jaric or Hudson. Perfect fit.

Dallas was the front runners for about a week, even reported earlier today.

thats the scoring help kg wanted. good signing. James can sit and bomb 3's and man the point, davis can work the in between game and drive to the hoops and foye...we'll see what exactly he does but im sure he will contribute. I like it for the wolves.

Dallas and Houston were both frint runners for his service.

James said in an interview a couple of weeks ago how great it would be to play for the Rockets and how excited it would be ot him and his family. That pretty much lead alot of Rockets fans to believe that he will be coming back to the team.

But at the end, he showed how greedy he was and that money was the number one factor for him and nothing else really mattered.

he chose Minny because KG personally called him, and he'd be the 2nd/3rd option (behind KG, and Davis). KG wanted the T'Wolves to get another guy who could create his own shot (which James can do).

So.

Van Gundy went to his house the minute that you could start talking to FA's and James said that he felt really wanted because a coach came to his house and to speak to him about joining the team.

But it's all done now. At the end, James pissed off alot of people and probably his family aswell because I'm sure they would love it if he would live down there with them.

oh please, he did what every player does; says 1 thing to the press and does completely the opposite. Dont be so surprised bro.

Houston still has a good team. Take Stevie Turnover back please :(

No thanks. You can keep the cry baby Francis.

Your right about James. I guess I am just pissed because how true he sounded that he would be coming back to the Rockets.

So far we have trading away a future star in Rudy Gay and now Mike James signs with another team. I don't like this offseason at all. :(

Hey, I can make anyone feel better at my own expense: The Knicks have 7 players on their team scheduled to make over 9m next season.

Marbury
Francis
Crawford
J Rose
Curry
Taylor
M rose

And the only one that can make an argument he deserves it is crawford since he actually gave a poop last year and played hard + showed improvement.

Feel better?

Great move by the Wolves, they needed a guy that could take the load off KG and who can run the floor. He can shoot very well also.
