LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech and coach Mike Leach have agreed on a new contract after months of contentious negotiations.

Good for both sides.

Apparently. The last deal they were offering him was terrible, especially with the firing/buyout clauses, and I really couldn't blame him for not taking that deal.

Good for Tech fans that he took the new deal.
