Mike Martz hits it on the nail

so what did he say for those of us at work who cant listen?

He just said he thinks Miami is going to get that last wildcard spot, and that they're a team that just won't go away. Said that they're good where a football team really needs to be good at....sacks, 3rd down offense, 3rd down defense(idk about that one), and that they're a very physical team. He also said he likes Chad Henne and that they've overcome a lot.

good stuff thanks, and fyi, our 3rd down conversion % defensively is tops in the league...

So let me guess. He's a "genius" because he spoke positively about Miami? lol

That we are really good in the areas that matter like our 3rd down conversion rates on O and our very low 3rd down conversion rates on D. The way we run the ball and our high sack totals.

Just says we are a fighter a tenacious teams that just wont stop playing hard and that we are physical. mentioned the Indy and NO games as something like hey these guys can play with anybody and if they get int he playoffs i dont think they are scared of anyone.

IMHO that's the right attitude! For some of you guy's that want to fire the coaching staff before you jump off a bridge, this guy knows what he's talking about. This coaching staff and management team, after just two years has churned the roster and made this team very competitive. Don't get me wrong, we are not there yet, we still have plenty of hole to fill, but the nucleus is there. If we can add some explosive plays in the next draft and some hunter/killer linebackers that might be enough (with the young players coming in to their own).

The best thing about us is we NEVER give up. We could've easily given up earlier on when things weren't going so well... but we didn't and that's why were where we are now.

It was a great segment because it really encapsulated our situation. They both like Miami as a team but Lombardi likes the Ravens' schedule. They play Chicago, Pittsburgh and Oakland. We need them to lose one of those games. Or we need KC to lose to the Chiefs or Raiders. Or we need the Patriots to lose.

the Chiefs have beaten themselves quite a few times this year. they should do it once more ;-)

seriously, Denver hosts both KC and Oakland. i'd love to see them lose one of those, but really can't see it.

No goof ball , he is a genius because he can evaluate talant at wr which Sparano cant do just yet. I dont understand the hostility towards Martz he has won two superbowls and his offense are always fun to watch.:ponder::buds:

If I owned a Nfl team I damn well would take Martz over Sparano , or Shannahan or great Wade Philips ( ok that was over the top but I like Martz and He is probally the only coach out there that could or can take Miami to the Super bowl.

imagine if we had a #1 wideout and a true free safety!
