Mike Mayock: Fix the offensive line and you have a top 10 QB in Ryan Tannehill

We'll see. If Mayock said he sucked the article wouldn't even be posted. I take all player prognostications with a grain of salt. We won't know how good or bad anyone will be until we give them a air amount of time to prove it on the field.

You underestimate Finheaven members. There are plenty of naysayers here hitting F5 on Armanod's blog waiting for him to post the next negative story.

We'll see. The good: some of his numbers have been been borderline great and that's with a lack of firepower. And he had a nice run of games to get us in a good position to make the playoffs. The bad: His inflated numbers could be a result of Philbin's philosophy to never run against stacked boxes. He had 2 god awful games at home vs the Bills and Jets though I think he was more hurt than people realize for the Jets game.

So in conclusion I believe he played well enough to get us to the playoffs but the terrible o-line performance especially at the Bills resulted in Tannehill getting injured so with a better o-line we're in the playoffs, which would make him a top 12 QB.

This is fair and I'll add, that there is no reason why he can't improve. That puts him in the top 10.

Let's see if I can get this right…"the quotient of the derivative underlying your perception of reality underscores the Pythagorean equation that Tannehill is at fault for everything since 1970."

Not since 1970, just since our last Super Bowl win

I think most of the talking heads feel the same way about Tannehill.

Ah, I see some are now digging up old quotes or stories from Mayock to discredit him. Mostly the same people who yell at others that do the same thing when someone says something negative against the team. They defend the negative views as "speaking the truth" but discredit the positive views by pointing out something the person got wrong five years ago.

"The film lies because of your self perception. Unfortunately, the conceptual equation reverse with anticipation vortex show that Ryan Tannehill is a disgrace to humanity."

I think most of the talking heads feel the same way about Tannehill.

And they should. He showed glimpses of everything you need in a QB. Seems to be right where he should be for a 2nd year QB. Continued improvement will get him to the upper echelons of the league.

Great arm: Is accurate enough already on all throws except the bomb. Even that wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. He has a quick enough release. He can throw with power or with touch. He can throw from a variety of arm angles and can throw from a dirty pocket.

great mobility: Can move and throw on the move. Moves in the pocket. The concerns about pocket presence are overblown, IMO.

coachable: Haven't heard a single issue. Seems to correct mistakes. Plays within the system.

poise: Never showed any mental fatigue this year. IMO, there was a conscious effort to favor taking a sack to avoid turnovers. He never let the sacks get to him and use them as an excuse to be careless with the ball.

toughness: Physically tough, no question about it.

puts the last play behind him: Has a short memory for good and bad plays. Doesn't get too high or too low.

Who the hell does Mayock think he is....someone please get this guy the proper analysis that shows Tannehill will be nothing more then a Mediocre QB...THE LINE IS FINE!

Uh....You lost me when you said that the Phinz OL is fine.....that's pure crazy talk. The Phinz 2013 OL was pure hot stinky garbage period. In general the Phinz OL was just sickening to watch (pass block wise). The Phinz OL coach should have been fired one second after the season was over. The Phinz 2013 OL was the worst Phinz OL I have seen in a least 20 years (in Miami)...they were aweful IMHO. But guess what the Phinz RBs were even WORST at pass blocking than the OL.....I know that doesn't sound possible but it's true IMHO :-(

see? I knew you'd agree that the entire offensive problems were tannehill's fault. the line is perfect, we should definitely give martin a raise, and bring back Richie, because they were great together and showed potential. shame on Tannehill for allowing all those sacks.

If you can't attack the evidence, attack the witness!

Am I doin' it right?

Mike Mayock also says 25 other QBs are top 10 QBs IF x happens.

IIRC, last season he said all Tannehill needed was a couple of good WRs, specifically some speed at the position and he would become a great QB. Well, we added the WRs and speed in a major way with Wallace and yet the song remained the same.

Obviously Mayock doesn't have a PHD in Advanced Mathematics because, clearly, if he did he would know that the standard deviation, times the square root of pi, minus 5 to the 4th power plus X, means Tannehill sucks.

Or, like most of us, he uses his eyes to see there's talent there and the line has more holes than a homeless guys undies.

So objectivity is totally gone and you've gone total bull**** mode? You play the part of the village idiot very well.
