Mike Mayock: Fix the offensive line and you have a top 10 QB in Ryan Tannehill

Uh....You lost me when you said that the Phinz OL is fine.....that's pure crazy talk. The Phinz 2013 OL was pure hot stinky garbage period. In general the Phinz OL was just sickening to watch (pass block wise). The Phinz OL coach should have been fired one second after the season was over. The Phinz 2013 OL was the worst Phinz OL I have seen in a least 20 years (in Miami)...they were aweful IMHO. But guess what the Phinz RBs were even WORST at pass blocking than the OL.....I know that doesn't sound possible but it's true IMHO :-(

i think you missed the sarcasm

Mike Mayock also says 25 other QBs are top 10 QBs IF x happens.

IIRC, last season he said all Tannehill needed was a couple of good WRs, specifically some speed at the position and he would become a great QB. Well, we added the WRs and speed in a major way with Wallace and yet the song remained the same.

you reckon he would have said the same thing, had he known the offensive lineman would have regressed and helped give up 58 sacks?

I don't think Mayock or anyone else could have predicted the misfortune of our OL from this past season

For any Melty Ice slurpers, wasn't he also high on him too? In other words, should we encouraged or concerned?

Shhhhhh ......... it's just easier to be convenient about it. LOL

Ha ha ha! Suck et. Been knowing it. Been sayin it. Been preachin it.

Honestly, i dont mean to offend some of you but some people have the eye and some dont. My uncle was a high school coach and i attended two a days every summer since i was 6. That was my summer camp.

Tannehill needs a little bit of Seneca Wallace in him- more moving around to create plays. Tannehill has a beautiful throwing motion on the run with deadly accuracy on the run.

He also needs a an OC willing to roll him the f@$k out. Play action is also not ideal when your in mid 4th quarter down 2 touchdowns and the running game hasnt scared anyone for 3 weeks (missing Sherman already).

He took more sacks than we gave the oline credit for. Hes got to run or get rid of it.

Mike Wallace. A lot of people on here are critical of him, have been since the acquisition hence, are blinded to the fact that if burning DBs alone got you into the HOF, Mike Wallace is being considered on last year alone. He smoked everyone. E-V-E-R-Y one. Dont believe? Go watch tape if you got it or can get it.

If Tannehill gets just a middle of the road oline, nothing special, and upgrades his deep ball accuracy, top ten my a$$- top 5.

Lets break it down non-believers out there:

Zero oline.
Zero running game.
Negative seven offensive coordinator.
One hell of a season

Of course, me and Mayock are both full of $hit until Tannehill proves us right. Its all a crap shoot. What we do know for a fact- the guys got skills.

You seem to forget that we replaced Jake Long with Jon Martin, and spent half of the last season with guys like Sam Brenner and Will Yeatman starting. So the Dolphins acquired the wideout skill, but lost the "cornfed" skill. How about giving Tannehill both a good line and a good receiving corp? Now there's a concept...

Mayock has been wrong before, not everything Mike Mayock says happens! Lets wait and see what happens next year before making these silly comments.. I could see us easily going 4-12 as easily as I see us going 12-4.

4-12? Ridiculous comment

what good is a brand new engine in a car without wheels?

4-12? Ridiculous comment

We are about to go through an overhaul on our OL and possiby 5 BRAND NEW OL to start the season and im ridiculous for saying we could go 4-12? I bet you thought we were gonna go 12-4 the year we went 1-15 right? I bet im right... But in the end, I said I could see us going 4-12 as easily as we can go 12-4, LETS WAIT AND SEE!!! Im not the one thats going to look ridiculous here, its gonna be you!

I don't see 4-12, but I also don't see 12-4. I think we will probably be in the 8 to 10 win range and hopefully we can finally get back over the hump.

Miami was a small margin from 10 wins this year with a crap line. With some solid FA and a nice draft, and if Lazor and Benton have the skills to pay the bills, 12 wins isn't out of the realm of possiblity. I think it's optimistic, but possible.

Matt Ryan is a damn good qb so if he can be equally as good then we should all be happy.
Also no matter what we have to have a more complete team. The defense regressed last year and regardless of who your qb is no player wins games all by himself.
Our line was horrible last year so we have nowhere to go but up

Will yeatman didn't start any games last year

Psh. I've known this for awhile now. He definitely without a doubt needs to improve his pocket presence, and ability to avoid pressure with his athletic ability. If you haven't noticed by now, the deep ball is a group effort. Review the film, and you will see the vast majority of times Wallace beat his man deep, Tannehill had a collapsed pocket to step up into. If we get a formidable group in here, the offensive line will improve all facets of Tannehill, and the offense's game.

He did have a stretch this season where he did pretty good escaping pressure but then the bills and jets game happened.....
