We all know Mike Mayock is the most accurate Draft Expert out there. He always hits on players. He called Matt Ryan having the "it" factor that others doubted, but he kept with his guns...and he also called Chad Henne the 2nd best QB in the draft last April...he should hit on that too...

Now he just stated that Pat White has the "it" factor and is going to be "special".

He and Charles Davis mentioned that he will be the evolution, so to speak, of the Wildcat....and that he is going to be the Antwan Randel-El type of slot WR that will be perfect for those Wildcat teams.

And we already know that reports came out a few weeks ago that Parcells likes Pat White and is willing to take him in the 3rd round.

Also, they interviewed him and Pat White mentioned that he talked to some teams about the Wildcat when asked....

...1+1= "he spoke with Sparano/Ireland/Parcells"...

Maybe we use the #57 pick on him to ensure we get him?

Of course, the #25 and #44 picks are reserved for NT and either LB or DB.

Ill pass on him at 57. why not draft a real wr and not a super project. Boldin had already shown he had the goods when he was drafted but White has never shown anything as a wide receiver.

The #57 pick was just "me" talking...

Reports have come out that Parcells likes Pat White for the Wildcat and is willing to use a 3rd or 4th round pick on him if he's still available...

Well hopefully Ireland has differant ideas. Stupid to waste high draft picks on players to run the wildcat. Like I said just sign Michael Vick if thats the case or even Marcus Vick. We can go find Michael Bishop from Canada for almost nothing.

i dont understand what Boldin has to do with Pat White.

a ton of high school QBs switch to WR in college

Where did these reports come from? Because we know that Parcells is not stupid enough to announce his intentions in public.

Youre lost again Dlockz. Because Mike Vick is a criminal and Pat White is a good person. Most importantly though, you may not realize this but, Pat White has more speed and playmaking ability than Mike Vick does.

Having Pat White play around 8 plays a game in various spots on the field out of the wildcat would be absolutely deadly. The guy would be good for 1 or 2 big plays a game, and thats worth every bit of a 2nd round pick. Realistically, the dude could be good for adding 4 pts a game avg. to our team.

Think about this. You could use White in the wildcat at Ronnie's current spot, Ricky's sweeping around the end, or at wide out. You could put White and Pennington on the field at the same time in that formation and have two guys capable of throwing it. Well more if you account for the fact that Ronnie or Ricky could throw it.

We could mix and match so many big time play makers with a ton of speed on the field at the same time, the defenses heads would spin trying to figure out what to do. White, Ricky, Ronnie, Cobbs, and Ginn. You could put any 3 of the 5 on the field with Pennington, or put 4 of those guys and take Pennington off. It would be sick. Ive been imagining the possibilities all week.

White would be a great pick for us. He could be very similar to what Kordell Stewart added to the Steelers in his rookie year as "slash", when they went to the Super Bowl. And White would have no problem taking the direct snap out of the wildcat and being given multiple options to choose from. He did it his whole college career.

He wouldnt be used as a primary WR, more of a playmaker who can be put in position to do a multitude of things. Mainly make the defenses in this league sick. Id use one of those 2nd rounders on him if I felt another team may take him before we pick again. Like I said, if he is good for 1 or 2 big plays a game while only being on the field for about 8, then thats a helluva value from a 2nd rounder.

Ive seen things saying the phins are interested but idk bout parcells. But if white is there in the 4th round he would be a perfect wildact, and maybe a decent receiver as well.

ala josh cribbs and brad smith.

white is not faster than vick by any means. white is not even close to vick in playmaking why do u think vick was drafted number one overall and white will be a huge question mark. vick is scum i was just making a point. please go back and watch vick in college and tell me white is a better playmaker. seriously i say screw the wildcat and use a qb in a solid offense instead of putting second rate throwers at qb

pat white in the 4th or later i can see as a wildcat qb and maybe slot wr...but pat white in the 2nd???...heck no.

we just took our every down qb of the future late in the 2nd LAST YEAR UNDER THIS REGIME in henne. not a guy you plug in on a handful of plays under center and as a possible slot type wr who as of now no one knows if he can contribute as a wr.

put away the pat white fathead.

Pat White has never clocked below 4.45 but Vick has clocked in the 4.3 range.

also the pass wehre RB missed the TE Haynos vs the Jets taht woudl have gone for a TD in that case white would complete it b/c he was a QB/IS a qb. Also hes far more explosive and quick and acc faster and faster adn elusive then RB so u get hte point loll. this wont allow them to stack the box so we wont need a power RB like R.B. running for 4 yards of pounding yards but since it can be maybe 6 guys n the box he can use his speed and be elusive.

The same guy that said J.Long will struggle playing LT, that he'd struggle with speed rushers. The guy that is a pro bowler didn't struggle afterall!

I like Mayock but it doesn't mean he's 100% right all the time.

I absolutely hate the idea of drafting a player based on a package we use every once in awhile. If you find a diamond in the ruff in the later rounds great but there's no reason to use a 1st through 3rd pick on a guy unless you think he could start or at the very least is a starter in the very near future.
