Mike Mccarthy

I would love to see him in Miami.

With all the projected turnover (I read an article that said there could be as many as 10 openings this off season), there will be an urgency to fire and then hire a new coach. I say that they act fast and fire Gase today and then get in McCarthy's ear on Wednesday about his interest in the job. Give him whatever he asks for since he is probably the most qualified candidate on the market this year.

King: Mutual interest between McCarthy, ARI

NBC Sports' Peter King reports there is mutual interest between Mike McCarthy and the Cardinals.

Arizona is fully expected to fire Steve Wilks after just one season, thrusting them back onto the coaching carousel for the second year in a row. Fired for good reason by the Packers earlier this month, McCarthy is sure to draw interest in a league committed to retreads. He has already been linked with the Jets' potential opening as well.

I wish Miami would avoid McCarthy and look to the college ranks, specifically Pat Fitzgerald of Northwestern or David Shaw of Stanford.

Either of these guys would be my dream candidate.

If this clean sweep is going to happen, the first thing that needs to happen is find a strong replacement for Tannenbaum. Then find a coach that can work with him. Hiring a coach first and then a GM is a recipe for an ego collision. We've seen it before.

That's the Ross way. He finds a head coach himself then tries to find a GM. Totally stupid.

Hire McCarthy instead of another college coach of a wet behind the ears coordinator or QB whisperer.
McCarthy is a very good choice.

I don't want McCarthy, but bringing up his record with Brett Hundly at QB isn't very honest. That said, he should have been better with Rodgers in the lineup and healthy.

I want Lincoln Riley if he'll leave Oklahoma.
