Mike Mcdaniel leading meeting about run game in San Fran. Love his passion!

So we going run football 60% off time and pass 40% off time..

I'm not sure if this was posted before. Old footage of him in a team meeting about the run game. Good stuff....

Yeah, was posted here when McD was first hired by myself and others.

Worth a second time around for those who missed it. Shame it's so short....lol

No, the point was not that run is more important then pass, or Pass is more important then run.

The point is, him saying that if you as players want to succeed in the running or even passing game, EVERYONE needs to put in the work, and on game day, work hard to succeed In whatever their assignment is. (If a receiver needs to block, then that receiver better block).

A team is only as good as it's weakest point, if the least successful player is still very successful, then you have an offense, all defenses will need to respect.

I love his emphasis on team. Everybody is accountable to each other. McD was born to be a great Head Coach because he has brains, intensity and he's a very open and available guy for all players. He's really embraced Tua and built an offense around his skill set which is vast. Most of what we hear from Tua's detractors is what he can't do and there are a few things that some other QBs do better. But, I think people are going to finally see the guy we drafted at #5. With a run game, time to throw the football and the level of talent we have at receiver Tua is going to be a star. His detractors will either die out or just shut up.

That is the key. Even marginal improvement from the OL will make a world of difference.

p.s. Last season, Cincy was graded as the 24th ( I believe) ranked OL.

This is tangent to the OP’s video but I’ve watched every interview I can on McDaniel and he needs to be the head coach the defense too.

McDaniel talks more about SF’s offense than his own dolphins defense in interviews. I’m fearful players on that side of the ball are going to check out on him like they did Gase when adversity inevitably hits.

Yeah its not like X and other defensive players have already expressed how great the change in staff is or anything....wait....

Noone is going to ask him questions about defense in interviews.

So with 24th best OL Burrow still proved to be top10 qb in nfl...
