So Langford and Soliai are both free agents. What are the chances they leave Miami to go play for Nolan, especially if we switch back to 4-3? Our defensive line has a lot of depth already, and they might want more PT instead of rotating all the time with Starks and Odrick. Just a thought.

Nice thought if your a Falcon fan. Whose side are you on?

Don't care about the Falcons, I'm talking about our free agents, so stay on topic or stay out of it. All I know is Odrick and Starks can be fulltime starters and Soliai and Langford are both going to get paid. Are we ready to give Soliai Wilfork type of money? If not he may follow Nolan as Nolan is going to reshape that team's defense into a 3-4.

Meooow

We will stay 3-4. I think that is what the finalists show.

Two thoughts:

1)If we let Soliai go, regardless of what defense we run, our defensive ranking PLUMMETS!!!

b. It sickens me that Nolan is now coaching the Dirty Birds. I think this propels them to the next level.

With 2pts in playoff game the next level cant be to far away.

Really unnecessary hostility.

The answer to your question is, NO. It isn't happening because they have their own top tier free agents to hold on to. Brent Grimes is a priority as is Lofton, and Im sure they would like to have both Snelling and Harry Douglas back as well. Douglas was just finally starting to contribute.

Nolan won't be running a straight 4-3 either. He will run both and other hybrid variations. That defense has a lot of potential. I think they will sign a couple cheaper veterans.

I predict Soliai will end up in KC. They are going to have to spend some money pretty soon because the minimum starts in 2013. No idea where Langford ends up.

It's not only Nolan in ATL it's also Sparano in NY and David Lee in Buffalo as well ... ant F/A on Miami's roster COULD potentially land in any of those 3 cities with all 3 having Recent Miami Coaches added to the coaching staff's .... This is a pivotal off season for Ireland, he needs to figure out how to keep Both Langford and Soliai as well as determine if a guy like Jake Long is too broken down; too give an extension too after 2012 .... Bell is due like $14 million, so finding extra money to sign both Langford and Soliai, could come at the cost of Bell IMO!!!

And their new OC is Dirk Koetter, of Jaguar fame...

In all seriousness, the Falcons have to get a bigger DT. They only have like one guy over 300 lbs on their D. And they don't have many draft picks. The other issue is that they are going to barely have any cap room, so I doubt they sign langford. A NT is a possibility, but I don't see how they could afford Soliai.

Bell needs to be replaced anyhow IMO. I'd love to get Laron Landry, Tyvon Branch, Goldson, or even Michael Griffin.

Not really sure it happens. While it's not unusual for coaches to bring in players they are comfortable/familiar with to plug holes they have, Nolan didn't do that when he came here, so I'm not so sure he'll do it going to Atl. However, if we don't secure our free agents, they likely will go anywhere that's willing to pay them. What's to keep them here? New coach, new DC, probably new OC, and ??? leadership in the FO.
