Mike Pouncey expected to face grand jury this week

Interesting that Mass subpoenaed Pouncey the same week we play the Patriots...

wow how is that legal, conflict of interest the same week he plays the hometown team the state calls him to court. coincidence? doubtful
 
The subpoena needed to be delivered in person and how convenient that Pouncey just happened to be in town that week. They could of course have served Pouncey before the game and caused a real media conspiracy frenzy.

One good thing that should come as a result of all this drama is that the Dolphins will most certainly perform more thorough due diligence on all future players.
 
This is conveniently timed for those bean f*****s in Mass.


Side note, this is why I hate government. Even if you did nothing at all they can screw you up by calling you in and pulling you away from pressing issues. Guilty? Doesn't matter, subpoena and you have to go with a lawyer that costs you a boatload just to prove you're innocent. Now you're out money and valuable time if you're lucky. Somebody rich and powerful has pull either from government or private sector- they can use that influence to screw you up. Very Kafkaesque.
 
He may not miss the game but it's still complete BS from those D-Bags in NE. If you think it's a sudden coincidence…need your head examined. Pats are banged up and the home court is going to do whatever it takes to get in another players head. Pathetic.

He was subpoenaed in October. This is the formal hearing.
 
Relax guys - Mike Pouncey won't say anything that could harm his best buddy, Hernandez. He can handle Haloti Ngata, Vince Wilfork, not to mention Soliai and Starks in Dolphin practice, then he can handle a Massachusetts Assistant District Attorney with a stack of evidence. He may have got advice from Richie Incognito how to make a decent impression.
 
A grand jury just means that they will consider whether or not to proceed with a trial on charges. It may end up being that they see little reason to do so.
 
He was talking to the Massholes DA's today. I would presume he will be flying back on Thursday. Pouncey will be ready for Sunday's game in Miami.

Well, if he werent involved with a serial killer and busy being a gun runner we wouldnt have to worry about this would we?

You havent seen Nate Garner having to be called in to testify in front of a grand jury about any murderers he is associated with have you?

Though Garner did go to Arkansas and not Florida where Pouncey was college teammates with Hernandez.
