If Philbin can't bring Clements to Miami as offensive coordinator, then I think he will turn to Mike Sherman (if Sherman doesn't get the Tampa job). If he does that, then you have the possibility of Miami drafting the quarterback Sherman coached at Texas A&M, Ryan Tannehill. Who will be there at 8 or 9 and Miami won't have to trade up for.

So, while I do think Flynn to Miami is very real and could happen. I think that might be "PLAN B" for the Fins.

Better not pick him at 8 or 9 tho. Kiper and McShay both said he's mid 2nd round to early 3rd at earliest. Also he won't be participating at the combine due to a broken foot

Mike Sherman would definitely be an interesting possibility if Philbin can't sway Clements to come with him to Miami. As far as Tannehill, I honestly don't know how I'd feel about him being a Dolphin. I know he had a pretty good senior season at Texas A&M (threw for nearly 4000 yards and had a 2 to 1 TD to int ratio), but didn't he recently break his foot? I would hope that doesn't hamper him too much or take a while to get healed from.

Teddy had other issues of course, but one of them was his injury in the bowl game against OSU that IIRC interfered with his first TC. I'd like to make sure we were on top of Tannehill's injury so there are no unpleasant surprises if we go that route.

No way is he the 8th or 9th pick. Maybe in the 2nd but he has ALOT of work to do before he is ready for the NFL. This team needs a playmaker ready now from the 1st rd.

im not sure i want a QB who has only been playing QB for only two years... he was a WR before than and never played QB before they tried him there a couple years ago.... he is more of an all around athlete than QB IMO and shouldnt be a 1st rounder and is very raw and needs a efw years of coaching before being ready for NFL.... unless we get to see him impress us in workouts... too bad he has a broken foot right now and wont play in the senior bowl

yep, mike sherman is the frontrunner! but all bets are off if laconfora or mando state as much.

Sherman is the secret guy we talked to a while back after the philbin interview i hear

Personally i would not have threw up in my mouth if Sherman was hired as head coach based on his career with Green Bay, now if they based it on Texas A and M I would hurl lol

Id prefer Hue Jackson myself as OC the Sherman....... But i do like the hire of the HC though. Only time will tell what happens.

Tannehill would not be an upgrade to our current roster of QB's.

I only want Tannehill if we trade way down into the 20s and pick up some serious picks. The kid has a lot of talent but he's careless with the ball in big situations. He threw a lot of bad picks in the 2nd halves of big games. See him vs OK St. for example.
