Mike Sherman & Kevin Coyle to named Dolphins' OC & DC barring any uexpected issues.

I am very happy with this news. I have read in several places that the hires are to be announced tomorrow. things are looking good now, lets hope they get the right personnel on the field as well.

Ive seen these BREAKING NEWS threads for the last 3 weeks... All have been wrong. :tubes:

you never know i know he's hurt but imagine him getting healthy and then doing some combine drills could make his stock go up ALOT.

i doubt we get him in the first tho.

Way too raw to be a TOP 10 pick. Extreme reach for a guy who has only played 1 year at qb. A year in which Sherman lost his job and seen his team drop from the TOP 10 to some .com bowl.:err:

I'm just not sure what to make of Mike Sherman. He's an extension of the Bill Walsh family tree, and that's something we've never really looked at in Miami. He obviously has familiarity with Philbin, and both of those guys had successful stints in Green Bay. But he really never seemed to have any NFL demand once he left the Packers, why is that? And his college career wasn't exactly thrilling. I mean I'm sure he has a vast knowledge of offense, he's been around guys and players his entire life who have gone on to become legends, but I don't know. Maybe a fresher approach would have been better? Say Tom Clements also coming over from Green Bay. Or maybe we should have stuck with Daboll? I honestly thought he did a good job given the circumstances.

I don't know if it's just me, but i have the feeling like the team has changed so much in so little time, it almost doesn't feel like this team is the same dolphins anymore. Don't get me wrong, i am loving it. I mean that every move seems to be the right one. We're being smart at hiring coaches, and making intelligent, wise, bold moves. I'm talking about things like everyone liking every hire, which hasn't happened in over 10 years...

Furthermore, last year we had a great draft IMO, which leads me to believe we'll have yet another good draft this year.

Very nice to hear :) although doesnt the fact la canfora has said we should expect an announcement by tomorrow mean we should start brace ourselves for sherman to be announced as an OC elsewhere?

Sherman did spend two years with the Texans after being fired by Green Bay. He was then hired by A&M.

Something funny to get the forum riled up. Mike Sherman got his start and made his name as an OL coach

Yea...

He is 3rd round worthy...Not top 10...

Plus in the bowl game I watched, he wasn't very good...

Is it me or does Coyle bare a fair resemblance to Sparano??
