Mike Smith Interviewing

I'm all in for Shanahan but this was on eof my top choices before hearing of Shanahan. He and Marone
 
It's one thing to have a wide search. It's another to interview quality guys. As much as I'd like experience as a head guy Mike Smith isn't a guy I would want.

Mike Smith does nothing for me as a HC. I would kill this one like I did Joe.

Just Hell no. Go after Coughlin and keep Campbell on his staff.
 
Smith was a good DC back in the day. He might have to go back to that job to build up his reputation. Atlanta and Jacksonville aren't exactly primetime teams.

That being said, you have to respect the way he rebuilt the culture in Atlanta. That team was waist deep in Bobby Petrino's **** when he arrived. It's a similar challenge to the one facing whoever's gonna be the next head coach of this team.
 
Hayden I hear you but for me I want a coach with experience and Mike is one of better coaches out there with the experience.
 
gross...maybe as an coordinator but not as a head coach...you wanna talk about soft with the players

You are right. A head coach that took a rookie qb, with a team that drafted #3 when he took over, and made the playoffs, isnt a good fit
