I really like the Mike Wahle hire. Dude was a probowl tackle up in Green Bay, went and got an MBA from a top tier program, came back and worked in our sports science division now got a call to help in vacancy Dan Campbell left, as an assistant TE. Any nastiness and different point of view we can bring to our line and offense is a huge plus. Wahle is young and is a so much like Campbell in not just physical stature and age, but importantly intensity. I love bringing in some of these ex players to shake things up. Next we need Zac and JT!

I agree. Zack Thomas and Jason Taylor should be assistants as well...if they are seriously interested.

I know JT has been a volunteer coach from time to time. I'n not sure ZT has ever done anything like that before. And I agree, that would be amazing. I loved it when Brain Cox was here!

Isn't he a LB coach? I saw him on television just the other day. Wonder if he is qualified and interested in our DC? He definitely has fire in the belly!

By the way it's Brian not Brain

Cox is another parcells guy. In fact, they are close friends, even have horse farms together.

No thanks. Besides, cox is Jets through and through. His playing time plus coaching time with them is longer than his miami days. He is not JT or ZT. Those guys bleed the colors and still ride for the brand.

Taylor i see as a coach, and a successful one. Zack? Mmmmmm, i dont think he has the temperment or patience for it. Some guys just are not coach material, or even want to. I really dont think zack wants to coach other than a cameo appearance now and then.

Everyone pines for marino to coach but he is another i dont think has the temperment.

Zach and JT should be part of this organization in some capacity forever. Both were class acts on and off the field as well as great players. You need to have guys like that around the team.

Well, Bryan quit when Shula was mistreated - he was one of those SUPER loyal Dolphins to Shula, along with Patrick Surtain and Terry Kirby and a few others. Cox might very well be interested and the Dolphins sure as hell could use some bloodlines from better yesteryears.

is JT still pursuing TV? I thought he wanted to be on in some fashion when he retired which is why he did dancing w the stars, no?

Actually I think Chad PEnnington would make an excellent coach, though I don't think he is interested
