How many times dd we have to hear this before we say, "Enough already"?

DAVIE, Fla. -- At this point, Miami Dolphins No. 1 receiver Mike Wallace has heard the question dozens of times about his lack of deep-ball chemistry with starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

So much is the case that Wallace is growing weary of the nearly weekly inquiries.

"Not almost tired," Wallace said with a slight grin. "I've been tired of it."

But Wallace understands why the lack of successful deep balls have been a hot topic among fans, local media and sports-talk radio in Miami. The Dolphins signed Wallace last year to a $60 million contract specifically to bring his world-class speed and big-play ability to Miami. However, the chemistry between Wallace and Tannehill on those "splash" plays remains a work in progress one year later.

Most recently, in last weekend's preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys, Tannehill misread Wallace on a deep pattern and threw the ball inside while Wallace ran freely on the outside. It would have been a big touchdown for Miami's first-team offense, which was held to just three points on six drives.

Tannehill and Wallace also have missed on most deep balls during training camp, which has some wondering if the big play will ever be consistent between this pair. Still, Wallace remains confident.

"It's cool, it's part of the territory," Wallace said of the questioning. "Until we hit it, people have a right to ask that question and that's something we can't avoid until we hit it and get rid of the question. It's not going to be one time where we hit it and then it's over. We've got to continually do it, every day. That's why we work, we keep working."

Well, we might want to wait for a couple real games...?

Stop ****ing talking about it and just ****ing do it already. The fact that Tannehill and Wallace didn't even get together even once in the offseason to work on the deep ball pisses me off. Then I have to be impressed that they stayed a whole 5 minutes after practice yesterday working on routes and ****? **** that. Hit the deep ball and shut the **** up until you do.

Tannehill and WR'S working in the offseason and this dude didn't bother to show. Stop talking already.

So, things are going to get better once teams start game-planning, using more elaborate coverages and disguising them as compared to PS? OK...

I don't know? But at this point, is it better to start a thread every time there is a new article about it(which seems to be every single day)with people freaking out?

They do tend to do that around here, don't they...

Been there, heard that.
Folks, this is all Wallace, Tannehill and Philbin have anymore...Just talk. Ryan and Mike can't make it happen since last year's offseason. Joe, cannot think of any way to fix it. Just about the last person we need to hear it from is Lazor, who may just be smart enough to not put out false promises from what he has seen.
When this first reared its ugly head, I started a thread on it and was blasted for not waiting to see what will happen. Well, it has been a while.
Two things to count on in Miami
1 We cannot cover TE's (Esp. Pats TE's)
2 RT to MW deep aint gonna happen.

Again, yes they did. :rolleyes2:

Mike Wallace really annoys me. I really wish we signed Greg Jennings instead. A veteran receiver who can actually ID coverage and locates the ball at the highest point with consistency.

He's been blabbin more than he's been catching. I like Wallace and I think he is less one-trick pony than he is given credit for, but he really does need to stop talking lol. I thought Philbin had these guys pretty well shut up, but it seems Wallace is allowed to say what he wants, when he wants.

I just don't understand how there is so much trouble catching the ball? I mean seriously, I played basketball, not football and I can make one handed grabs fairly easily. I understand an occasional drop but these guys do that **** daily, for hours on end and still make regular drops. The chemistry to make a deep route count is probably not that easy, but with the rules the way they are, it seems like all they should have to do is when RT sees Wallace gets his release from the CB just ****in launch it to a spot and he goes and gets it. How hard can that really be? I do think that if they keep using him more for short routes and just getting the ball in his hands that the deep ball will end up so wide open it won't matter how good the throw is lol.

what exactly is he saying that's got your panties in a wad? He's being ****ing interviewed. Is he not allowed to answer Qs regarding the deep ball until it's corrected? You guys are acting like he's setting up personal press conferences or some stupid ****. He's going to be asked these questions. Why you guys flip out over it is beyond weird.
