Mike Wallace doesn't look like much

I would be ok with Wallaces lack of production IF there was some effort. But he made NO effort on the final throw. Also, though Tannehill made an awful throw earlier in the game when he got behind the defense, is it me or did it look like Wallace didnt even attempt to get his feet down? Yeh yeh, bad throw but still where is the effort?

Wallace will be fine with a competent OC and QB. He has struggled, but this offensive system it's not right for him. No excuse for the drops and effort. Think its more due to the pressure and trying to live up to a big contract and a green qb.

Lets be real here: Mike Wallace is a one trick pony. We desperately needed someone to take the top off the defense. If you remember in Pitt a lot of his success were on plays where Ben scrambled and Wallace broke off his route and took off deep. There are other ways to use him- I would like to see a backside post off a play action boot to have more field to throw to. Tannehill has been disastrous throwing the deep ball. he has underthrown him every single time. He needs to throw it as far as he can and let Mike run under it. The drops from Wallace are killing us. The line cant block long enough to let his long routes develop, and Sherman doesn't know how to call an offense...
The PI he drew against Cincy helped win that game, and if Tanny could make a catchable throw he would have a handful of long touchdowns like he was brought in for.

And the sad thing is..Ted Ginn Jr. has more TD's then Wallace at seasons midpoiint..:boohoo:

Wallace shows no effort or passion, other than being whiny. I'm personally done with getting free agent big name receivers. They never work out in Miami, it's just a waste of money

Weak effort blocker, and he drops every fourth pass that hits his hands. And the QB is erratic over 25 yards. Seriously, you can't throw a sideline route to a wide open receiver? Not even close. 25% chance he woulda dropped it anyway tho. Unfortunately, we are stuck with Wallace for 2 more years before the cap hit is manageable. Wheeler should be cut the first day possible if he won't take a pay cut to about 1.5mil. He should be a backup, break glass in case of emergency LB.

Blame the receiver for the failings of the QB.... Classic Finheaven

LOL. The post of the clueless. Tannehill drove the team down the field utilizing the best WR on the team (Matthews) cutting thru the TB defense like it was swiss cheese.

Mike Wallace might perform much better under a different offensive coordinator, IMO.

Too bad Jennings isn't here and one Trick Wallace in Minnesota. Philbin screwed that one all up.

If it was just his ability to get open and the number of throws to him, I would agree; but, it is not just that...he drops too many. That is not coaching. He also seems to have no field presence...he doesn't know where the sticks are. And...he has 0 fight in him for extra yards. Reminds me of Ginn in some ways...but not that bad.

Hell 60 million would have been better well spent on Jared Cook or Welker. Wallace is garbage, Desean Jackson laughs at the comparisons.
