Mike wallace is an a-hole

as for the whole Ricky is just playing for the money deal...if he is playing for the money, than why did he turn down all these endorsements he was offered just recently? He could have made a whole ton more money than what his salary would dictate these deals, yet he turned every one of them down. He could've totally banked and been able to pay back the fins if that was the main motivation for him playing. So I've got to think it's not...

As he said in is PC he is not into self promotion.

Further, when it comes to this subject Wicky is not the sharpest knife in the kitchen drawer.

Some of you seem a lot more upset about the press conference than Ricky did. I have not seen one thing from Ricky since he has been back that I can criticize. He knew he was going to be under a microscope when he returned and he has taken it all in stride and with a smile. He also pointed out in his first press conference of training camp his timetable to be completely ready to play is week 5 of the regular season. I can't wait to see what condition he is in at that time. So far so good, we'll see.

Without a doubt. Wicky has handled this whole thing wonderfully. He has really impressed me. I am starting to feel the guy may actually get it. I sure hope he has, that would be great news for his children.

Really? We all know that's why Ricky came back. He didn't come back for love of the game. He has the 8.6 mil plus child support to pay.

Let's get the facts straight ricky is not broke. He has collected over $8.6 millions in signing bonuses and incentives. He has yet to pay that back to the Dolphins. And I doubt the Dolphins will force him to pay it. Now, He needs alot more of money which is why he's coming back, plus he can't hide from the 8.6. So he might as well play so he DOESn't have to pay it back. So Ricky is far from being broke..He has collected over 14 million dollars..

Listened to the "interview" just now. Mike Wallace has zero class and was clearly baiting Williams. His first question was something to the affect: "Why did you apologize?" Williams gave a slam-dunk, great answer, and you could tell it really got under Wallace's skin. After that, Wallace became very confrontational and personal with Williams. Ricky should have just said "next" and talked to another reporter instead of getting caught up in that nonsense.

I don't know what Ricky's done with his money.....everyone said that even before he did a little walk-about for self enlightenment that Ricky didn't live as "lavishly" as what most players making that type of money do. Those who underestimate Ricky's intellegence aer mistaken. He's actually a very "booksmart" guy....although I'm not as sure of his "street-smarts".....

...you know, just because Ricky's collected a ton of money doesn't mean he still has it.....just take a look at Mike Tyson....he was a 'hundred" millionare many times over and now he doesn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of...thanks of course to Don King..but anyway.....

...Ricky's not as stupid a Tyson (at least I don't think he is?) perhaps he's got money hidden in an account or 2 whre the banks don't divuldge an account's info (or ask much info either)?

I listened to it also...and while it IS obvious that Wallace is trying to make every question seems like it's of "national security" type importance and trying to lure Ricky into "spilling his guts" or something, I don't think that Wallace was any different that what so called "big time" reporters do.

I agree that Wallace asked questions that I myself could give 2 sh!ts about but this is what reporters knowdays do...this is there "style".

They're so driven by ratings that networks truly expect these people to ask those types of questions......also....you can't tell me that Wallace's ego wasn't bruised when Ricky wouldn't give him another "exclusive" and made him sit with all the "beat" writers.... :rofl3:

....personally I think it's funny that Wallace was treated like all the other reporters, he's needed to be taken down a peg or two for about 10 years now, as most of the 60 minute guys do! (I mention the "about 10 years now" because that was about the time that 60 minutes changed up what I thought was "good" reporting and moved to add more "rating" friendly stuff that IS crap)
