Although Dolphins receiver Mike Wallace wouldn’t say exactly what had him upset Tuesday, the offense’s struggles in Jacksonville two days earlier certainly played a role. “Our offense was [expletive],” he said.

Something’s bothering Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace.

And although he wouldn’t say exactly what had him miffed Tuesday, the offense’s struggles in Jacksonville two days earlier certainly played a role.

“We didn’t do nothing,” Wallace said. “Our offense was [expletive]. We’ve got to do better.”

For the game’s first 26 minutes, Wallace was precisely right. Through their first three drives, the Dolphins had run nine offensive plays, had no first downs and were outgained 199 yards to 3 by the Jaguars.

In all, the Dolphins scored a whopping 13 offensive points Sunday — against one of the league’s most permissive defenses.
Wallace seemed particularly upset about the team’s pesky — and dangerous, in his mind — slow starts. The Dolphins have trailed in four of their seven games this year, and the offense has endured some baffling stretches of futility.

“We’re not going to get nowhere like that,” Wallace said.

Certainly not with the San Diego Chargers, Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Dennver Broncos — who are a combined 22-9 — up next on the schedule.

Wallace is usually one of the most engaging players on the team. But Sunday, he uncharacteristically left the locker room without talking to reporters (he said Tuesday that he had family to see).
Statically, Wallace has had a productive year. He leads the team in catches (32) and receiving yards (418) and is on pace to set a personal record in touchdowns.

And yet, he said his season has been “not good. It could be a whole lot better.”

The lack of deep ball chemistry with Tannehill is driving him crazy.

Mike Wallace made his name in the NFL as the premier deep threat, terrorizing defenses by catching the deep ball in stride, and taking it all the way.

23 games in Miami, and he has yet to catch a deep ball in stride here.

Wallace knows that big plays are there to be made, he is in the prime of his career, there are some good players on this team, the defense is good, the team could win a lot of games, and the offense could do some serious damage, but for the pathetic play and the limitations of the QB.

That about sums it up.

When Wallace stated "our offense was ****" he was getting real.

The apologists have already been running around FH making happy adjustments and pretending that yet another pathetic performance by the QB was acceptable. Wallace knows better.

The reality is that if Bortles did not gift us the game, we lose.

Are you making a happy adjustment?

So he's on pace to beat his career TD's in a season mark and be in the neighborhood of his career high in receptions and somehow you think that he's upset with Tannehill because of the deep ball not being there? Give me a break.

Right now he's on pace to put up nearly identical stats to his last season in Pittsburgh, so I guess that would have made him blame Big Ben, right?

Maybe, just maybe he's just upset because the offense has played like **** too often this season? I guess that's harder to accept than simply blaming the guy you can't stand.

Are you making a happy adjustment?

No. Im getting real. I am not pretending that we lost. We won.

Happy adjustments are when people twist things to pretend an outcome was different than it actually was. An example of this is when Tannehill plays like dog ****, such as Sunday vs. the Jags, and people take away batted passes, drops, etc etc.. and suggest that he played well, when in reality he did not.

For me to be doing the equivalent would be if I suggested that the game should count as a loss just because the opposing QB threw a pair of pick 6's directly to our defenders. I am not doing that. We won the game. That is the reality. Just as the reality is Tannehill played poorly in that very game.

You were not logically sound in your suggesting that I was making a happy adjustment. I do not expect you to follow the logic. If I did expect you to, I would be making happy adjustments about your abilities.

Meh. I could understand his frustration that may result from not making explosive plays. His next contract will not be based so much off pure statistics. I am sure he wants to cash in pretty big one more time in his career. To do that, he needs to be making explosive plays. That is where he makes his money.

Lol at wv trying to even pretend he understands what's going on in the head of a top level athlete. He's not upset with Tannehill, I guarantee that. It's just wv projecting his wet dream scenario.

It's ok to criticize Tannehill. His play has certainly earned it at times. However, why is everything an exaggeration with you? You actively seek out any mention of tannehill to do this. It's getting old especially with your double standards with melty ice. How can you hammer tannehill and shun people for "making excuses" yet that's exactly what you do for melty. Even the mods are starting to see the light with the John Beck substitution. It's got to be a matter of time before you're shown the door with shouright. I bet site donations go way up when you're gone!

So you don't think that he can make big money if he's averaging 70+ catches, 1,000 yards and double digit TDs?

Doubt that.

But if he wants to take away the Dolphins defensive scores, might as well throw out Bortles garbage time TD. I wonder what the score would have been then?

I am not taking anything away. When did I suggest doing such a thing? Again....... logic and reading comprehension issues with you. ( :bobdole: FML. I just sounded like Junc. Sigh.)

I am just stating a fact. The Dolphins do not win that game on Sunday, but for the fact that Blake Bortles gifted us the win. How is that even debatable?

Have no problem with Mike losing his mind here.

Darryn colledge and Brian Hartline biggest culprits of why slow start. Hope they were listening.
