Mike Wallace

Pittsburgh won't give him away. We can't afford his contract either.

Mike Wallace will play for the Steelers this year. No one is going to give up a 1st round pick and a lot of $$$.
 
At the moment, Wallace wants to be paid like Larry Fitzgerald and I don't see anyone paying him that kind of money let alone giving up a 1st round draft pick before Monday.
 
Run the scenario through Madden because that's about what it would take to get him. Just too hight priced for Miami's wallet.

Miami has champaign taste on a beer budget.

We cannot afford him, that's the issue.

Also, if Wallace is so great, what hasn't another team drafting 20-32 not made and offer for him?
 
just wait someone will get him the draft is two weeks away we can afford him also we give him a contract with minimal money this year and give him a big raise next year

Deadline is before the draft to make him an offer. Also, the way contracts are designed, only a 30% maximum increase from year to year.

Don't forget, the Steelers have the option to match any offer made and it is likely any offer we'd be able to make they could easily match.

Mike Wallace to Miami WILL NOT happen.

never said it will happen if we had balls to make the move we technically could it could be worked out. and I do not believe Pitt can match. Wallace has to sign their tender which he has not.

We have less than $5 million we could offer to him towards the cap this year, the Steelers could easily match that.

It's not about balls, it's about the best outcome for the team. Tell me this, is Wallace the one piece we need to win a Super Bowl?

I don't think so and A LOT of other teams feel the same way because no one else has made an offer to him.
 
Mike Wallace wants 8 years $120 million with about $50 million guaranteed (about what Larry Fitzgerald signed a couple of years ago). Pitt has offered $10 million a year for 5 years.

Do the people that post these questions understand the cap?
 
It will not happen.

You do not have the cap room to fit him at an offer that Pitt could not match.

Wait to next year and get him as a UFA when it will not cost a pick.

Also the Pitt WR I would look at more than Wallace (reminds me alot of Lee Evans, good deep not much else) is Antonio Brown
