Mike Wallace?

I don't get it.

Everyone that complains about Wallace either is clueless or doesnt watch games. Wallace had a 1,000 yard season and should of added a good 3-4 additional TD's and another 200-300 yards if Tannehill could hit him in stride.

73 Rec. 930 Yards 5 TD's.

Think back to all those missed opportunities.

Wallace could of easily gone 85/1,000/8

Was this really posted today, 01/16/2014? Hmmm, someone isnt paying attention.

If D-Jax can understand they system they were running in Philly I have no doubt the Wallace will be able to as well. I was looking for D-Jax' wonderlich test scores and although no exact score was given one of the reporters said he scored in between what a rusty nail and a Dixie cup would score, ouch.

Now I know Lazor will probably only be incorporating some of Chip Kelly's philosophies with Philbin's but Wallace got much better at reading coverage/leverage as the year went on and one can only think that with another offseason and TC he will improve more as well.

Which is it?
You say Wallace had a 1000 yard season then you say he had 930 yards receiving?

I agree with everything you said until you brought up Russell and their system. Russell may be one of the smartest QB's in the NFL. He had to learn Mulitple systems while Ryan has been in one system.

Or if he could catch a contested pass, like every other #1 receiver in the league.

I'm thinking the same as a few other posters DJax/Wallace....Wallace should play the role Djax had in philly. I don't know which player is "more talented" but i see a similar role, hartline/cooper?

All we need now is a Shady Mccoy...that's a tuff one.

I don't think it will be much of a problem. He adjusted decently well through the season, Tannehill just missed him too often deep. But Lazor has said he will play to our players strengths. So until we see the the true offense week 1 ill reserve any judgement. Hell, Wallace has to be smarter than desean geeze.

And Philly's OL

We would all be going ga ga over Wallace if Tannehill's deep ball was a little better. There were at least one or two situations when Wallace beat his man like a drum, and the ball was either over or under thrown.

I never said they ran the offense efficiently, I said it was complicated. It's easily one of the more complicated offenses in the NFL. If ithe execution is good consistently, there's no game plan to stop it.

But it's very hard to run efficiently. It's why when Matthews started getting playtime he came off the field after every play. They had to coach him on between plays despite the fact it's the second year he's been here. Most wr vets would have trouble learning it.

Is that why Mike Sherman has had so much success in his career?

Really? Because NFL Analysts and players alike (including Miami players as well as from other teams) have said publicly that the system is not complicated at all. One writer even had a write up (perhaps Barry Jackson) saying the progression type of offense that Sherman runs is one that is taught at the elementary level and shouldnt be part of an NFL offense. He said we were the only team than ran a progression style offense as systematic as we did. Its no secret that Sherman put his players in position to fail on almost every play. If it was mostly on execution, Sherman would still be our OC. The players are to blame for some of it, but if you saw Shermans playcalling, you would know where to place most of the blame.

Also, kindly show us the evidence you found that Matthews had to come off the field to get "coached up" in game, because I find that pretty hard to believe.

So complicated we used motion, complicated route combinations like 8 yard comebacks and curls, as well as more than two cadences throughout the season? Actually....

Running a system-based offense in a matchup league is part of the problem.

"You have alerts that you can take advantage of," Tannehill said. "But that's just our system at this point. I would say 80 to 90 percent of it is just going through progression.

Mike Sherman isn't good. Packers fans warned us. Texas A&M fans warned us.

It is what it is.

Get Tannehill to learn how to drop a deep ball in there and we'll be set....Also an offensive line that isn't a disaster. Get those 2 things and we're golden.
