Mike Williams Anyone?

I'd stay away from Williams for so many reasons

1. Only 1 good year in NFL.....and it was good, not great.
2. Work ethic constantly being questioned.....and shows up overweight this year once again.
3. Does not run great routes or get separation.....does not fit the new offense.
4. If Pete Carroll doesn't want him that should tell you something.
5. We have a ton of young WRs on the roster with better measureable and better fits for this offense....and need to see what they can do. Another WR will do nothing more than take away reps for them.

Why are we even talking about someone like Mike Williams when Plaxico Burress is still available?

Just watch the catches Burress made in the red zone last year and tell me he couldn't be a valuable addition to the team.

Buress would be a good addition. Reliable play in the red zone is hard to come by. I honestly wouldn't mind taking a look at Williams though. He finally flashed something two years back. I'd be curious to see what he could do

I truly do not understand how Plax is still available in a league where Miami, Cleveland (pre Gordon) and San Francisco field the WR corps that they do. He must have something seriously wrong with him.

I pass on someone like plax because he's old. by the tim we're good, assuming things go well with tannehill etc, he will be done. I pass on williams because he's a big fat lazy **** that was never any good to begin with. I would have passed on chad johnson because he's old and even if he has a comeback year he won't be around long enough for us to use him when we get better. If he could teach our young guys that'd be different but his rep is one of an idiot.

Seattle could do with more WRs and even they let this bum go.

TBs Mike Williams would be another story, but this guy is done.

Was just about to say the same thing. Plax > Big Mike

I have to agree with you mate. If it were possible to get Plaxico on an "Ocho" type deal I would be all for it, but I am not sure he would be available for that kind of money.

His personality is not something that people have ever liked, for sure. But still.

His speed is gone, that much is evident. He's not out there creating separation with speed. It's almost embarrassing how much he lumbers around out there in 3rd and 4th gear. But he still has explosive strength, first-second steps and body control. And he can still haul in tough catches. You throw the back shoulder to him and if you throw it well enough he's probably going to get it. Throw him in the hole between the cover two safety and corner on a corner route or something like that, he'll make big plays. If a corner plays off him (which doesn't happen often anymore), you throw him the screen and he has that huge size and strength to make something happen. The slant is a bit more iffy with him just because corners tended to jam him so physically at the line and try and sit on anything short. He can still run the out, he can still run in-breaking stuff like the dig against quarters or two-man. He's hell in the red zone.

Please no! Enough with the taking other teams cast offs. Roberto Wallace is better then Mike Williams at this point
