I heard the idea floated Saturday that Zimmer is headed to the Dolphins because he is familiar to Jeff Ireland and he's a good coach and he also had a solid interview in New York last week when he met with the Dolphins.
But Zimmer has no more experience putting a staff together than you and me. So he might need some help with running the offense, which suggests perhaps Haley would be a fit.
It is plausible, I guess.
Haley's agent is also Jeff Ireland's agent. I'm sure the idea has been floated for Haley to get an interview of some sort. But if the only job available is an offensive coordinator gig, the thinking among league people is that Haley probably would be most comfortable returning to the Arizona Cardinals.

If we get zimmer as head coach, I would love todd haley as OC, I didn't know him and Ireland had the same agent.

I would love the fire it would light up our players' ***!!!
When our squad is motivated we can play with anyone..
As much as I want to see a confident Matt Moore perform, we need a QB.
I see RG3 as our only stud option. I know we could get a steal later ,but we've tried that before lol
It's time to get hungry coaches who are players' coaches that will throw the damn ball!!
Zimmer paired with Haley would definitely add some fire to our team...
Of course we need a QB for that...
Nothing against Moore because he brought 6 great weeks to my life ,but I want a star.
It's time to end our talent wasting ,and show the league and stupid NFL fans that we have more talent than half the league.
No QB= No CONSISTENT Success
I'm so tired of being known as bums when we have so much talent. GO DOLPHINS!!!

Zimmer's been in the NFL for about 17 years now. I would imagine that he's made enough connections around the league to put together a staff.

Whatever happened to the dolphins mystery interview yesterday no leaks or anything has me wondering who? Big name perhaps the person that got interviewed on saturday did not want there name out there just curious who it could be?

Yesterday, the Dolphins reportedly conducted an interview; however, no name has been announced, formally by the team or informally through leaks. Speculation placed Dave Toub, the special teams coach for the Chicago Bears, in line for a second interview with the team, but nothing has been confirmed.

No thanks at Spagnola. It's already enough to suggest Haley, who's ego is off the roof. Spags is a guy who comes off as unable to accept authority.

Head Coach - Mike Zimmer
Offensive Coordinator - Hue Jackson, James Urban, or Ken Zampese
Defensive Coordinator - Todd Bowles

Those look like solid staffs...I wouldn't be opposed at all to daboll coming back either.he did a great job with our offense this season

I would really like Zimmer as HC because I feel he brings many positives for that position. If Haley as OC is a good option in your mind, I won't say it's a bad choice , but I would have some questions there. I know he's a fiery guy, but he also is a very egotistical guy, who wore very thin on a lot of players in his previous positions. He is also a Bill Parcells disciple, who while the HC in Kansas City, fielded one of the most run heavy teams in the league. I'm not sure how that's a much different offensive philosophy than what we've had here recently.
