Mike Zimmer

I would have loved to have Zimmer at HC. I bet we wouldn't be having disrespect issues with that guy, no matter what the record.

If this guy turns out to be a blowhard loser like Greg Schiano, I wonder if people are still going to think we made a bad decision by joining all of the other teams that said 'no thanks' to Mike Zimmer.

I will. If he turns out to be better than what we have, will the nay sayers acknowledge that?

I wanted Joe Philbin fired and I have no real opinion on Mike Zimmer. So I can't speak for any nay sayers.

I just think it's weird that we're fixated on a guy whose claim to fame is being the defensive coordinator of an above average football team for the last few years and that we're far from the only team that has elected NOT to hire him. And let's not pretend that the Vikings make good head coaching hires. Brad Childress and Leslie Frazier, really?

Well After Tony Sparano, Cam Cameron and Joe Philbin not sure we should judge too harshly lol. Zimmer definitely deserves a shot and its not like teams were knocking down philbin's door to hire him as many teams opted for other coaches over him. He wasn't our first choice either. You never know, many were excited about Cam Cameron. I felt a little unsettled from his college coaching days but was open to the hire until he actually came here and alienated the team day one and sounded like an idiot on draft day. His insistence on the whole Daunte fiasco and bringing in just as broken Trent green showed me he wasn't ready. I personally wish we had sent philbin packing but we always like to delay the inevitable by one year. I would have liked a Jay Gruden hire.

I would have liked Gruden, too. But I bet you that nobody will want him two years from now.

He might have an inkling of what he's getting himself into there, but I don't think he really understands how deep that rabbit hole goes. Stuck with Griffin, a depleted talent base due to the Griffin trade, and Dan Snyder? I don't even know why someone with his prospects would take that job. He's either supremely confident (which I like) or supremely naive about how bad Snyder is.

I think Griffin is a good piece if he can stay healthy and to get a possible franchise qb u have to give up a lot sometimes. Not sure working for Snyder is any worse than working for our clueless owner

Is that how you see Mike Zimmer, that he's some kind of reject from the island of misfit toys? Just because someone doesn't get a HC gig doesn't mean they're incompetent.
