Miller Wants To Rush For 1,500+ Yards

Reggie danced around a few tackles for gains that Lamar wouldnt have. But Lamar's lack of dancing will gain him a couple hundred more yards more than Reggie and a few more TD's.So much of Reggie's dancing cost him yards.

I always love the contributions from the Happy 40% Adjustment crew. They throw out a couple hundred yards lost to dancing as if it were nothing, with zero comprehension of the burden.

If Reggie gains 200 more yards, he averages above 5.2 yards per carry. That places him in the stratosphere, behind only Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles last season. Miller averaged a terrific 4.9 in spot carries and without being asked to carry in short yardage, which naturally diminishes your yards per carry.

I don't think the posters who happily assign the extra 200 yards to Reggie have any clue that in doing so they are condemning Lamar Miller. Because if Reggie Bush should have averaged 5.2 in full duty, Miller severely underachieved by averaging 4.9 in friendly terrain.

It's glorious bunk.

Can't argue math

Peterson led the league in negative yards, all he had to do was cut out the dancing and he was a 3000 yard back easy. /sarcasm

Reggie danced too much and it hurt our running game when he danced around instead of hitting the gap. As a result he is now a lion without even getting a contract offer from Miami. End of discussion.

Miller took about 2 snaps last season and has proven next to nothing at this level. What I do know is that he will have been well warned to forget doing a little dance, run straight forward and get positive yaradge when the o line creates a gap. By doing that he will be the rb our offense needs.

I doubt gets 1,500 yds, but I'd rather him predict 1,500 yards than say "Oh, I'll be happy getting 6 or 7 hundred yards." 1,500 is a stretch though.

I'm glad he has goals. I don't think he hits that but if he does then that would be awesome.
We need him to score when he has the ball. If he scored 8-12 TDs we would be good.

If Miller hits 1500 yards that means all is going great for the Dolphins Offense. It is definitely a stretch goal however, considering that only 4 guys reached that level last season. I'd be happy if he hit 1100 yards.

Bush had 986 yards last year...so I don't buy, "he will get 1000 in his sleep."

Bush has no vision or patience behind blockers. Hence why if bush can't get to the second level, he doesn't seem to get many yards. Once he gets to the second lvl he's great, before that, not so much.

Millers doesn't have that problem, that's why bush is gone, and an "unproven" Miller is in.

yup! I have no problem with a player setting high goals for HIMSELF. I might see it differently if he came out and said, "Im putting up 15 hundred yards this season, take it to the bank".

Bush would have had well over a thousand yards if he would have danced less and took a hit for short yardage more often.

He also would have had over a 1000 yards if they had given him the ball in the final game. Let him get those last few yards he needed. I hate to say it, but the Dolphins purposely made sure he had less than 1000 yards to soften the blow to fans when they showed zero interest in resigning him.

Hey UK. Two (2) snaps all season? What team were you watching?
