Adam Beasley said if we give up 345 yard to the Patriots next Sunday that will be the most yardage given up in Dolphins history. That is staggering!! We better have a defense heavy draft and find some more defenders in free agency.

We all know they will get 400 yards on us.
As long as we make the critical plays when we need them I don't care if we give up 1000 yards. Gimme the W!
Sometimes a good Defense is a good Offense.

Lastly I agree completely we need to draft Defense! LB LB LB!!!

This is a sign of how much the game has changed. It used to be if you could run the ball like the Bills, you were a playoff team. And if you gave up a million yards per game no way you could be 10-5. And furthermore, no way in hell is anyone considering you for a HC job w defensive numbers like that.

Our whole draft should go to defense pretty much and the top 2 picks have to be LB and DE

Ozzy rules!!

Not to suggest our defense doesn't allow to many yards...but anytime you start comparing stats from the past with the stats since 2007-2008...you have to realize that the rules changes made the passing game go crazy and yards to increase.

At the end of the day we're 10-5, that's all that really matters and goes to show stats mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Considering that this schedule is one of the weakest in the NFL this season. Yikes. I guess that is what happens when you have a qb like tannehill who is top 5 worst in 3 and outs.

points though....it's all about points given up....and of course, W's and L's....

but yes...next draft, LB's and DE's

We have hardly anyone who can set the edge vs. the run. Our DEs and OLBs are horrible at setting the edge. All teams do is double team Suh and they run it on us because Earl Mitchell and Jordan Phillips can't step up opposite of Suh to get the job done on inside runs. Watching video of Mitchell and Phillips and it's very discouraging. Both of them get blown out of the play far too often. Then you have a horror show at linebacker. We are simply God awful there. So with a front seven who can't play the run is it any wonder why the Bills ran for 300 yards??!!

even Kiko is favoring the hand. He's not trying to wrap on a lot of plays - noticed it in the Jet game - even on that 4th and 1 stop he just got in the way and didn't go for the wrap. Noticed it yesterday too.

I still don't care if Miami drafts all defense or all offense... just make sure they hit on three or four of the picks. Don't get caught drafting for need on defense and passing up superior talent on offense. If Miami re-signs Branch as expected I'm thinking the only sure open starting positions for defensive additions will be linebackers. I could see the team starting Wake, Branch, Suh and Phillips up front in 2017 and Howard, Lippett/Maxwell, Jones and Abdul-Quddus in the secondary.

If Miami can add a starting linebacker in free agency that would really eliminate the need to force the draft in one direction or another. The team could still use young pass rushers, more linebackers and a free safety but only if the right players are available.

Your troll posts make you look clueless. This thread has zero to do with offense.

Pretty sure that is a done deal.

It's ok... we have Matt Moore... he can do it all, even play shutdown D.

Last I knew the longer the offense was on the field the less the defense was on the field. Has this changed recently?
