Mingo interview on Dolphins.com

He's always come across as an intelligent kid to me. He's also very new to football.

I've always made the comparison to Leonard Little in regards to Mingo. Back when Chavis was the defensive coordinator at Tennessee in the 90's, he used Little the same way he uses Mingo at LSU. Little was always light for a DE in college, which is why he initially played linebacker. Similar athletic ability between the two, except Little wasn't new to football, and was a better player at the same point in their college career. Little was stronger physically.

After Little had a season in the NFL to bulk up some, he went on to become one of the best pass rushers in the league. Mingo has the upside to mirror this type of development.

I love Mingo but it seems very unlikely he last to #12.

I will say that it looks like Miami will be able to choose from quite a few very good players when their turn comes.

Wasn't Little involved in a DUI accident with fatality involved? Was that what ended his career?
