Mini Camps

Nobody is allowed to go.

That is until the June 10-12 mini camps, of which I will be there for all three. I'm trying like mad to get a media pass for any days I can so we'll see.

I thought nobody was allowed in Nick's Area 51.

Figure this.
You're a newbie, a rookie entering the NFL. The first impact should be the press, the media asking about so many things you DON'T have idea and pushing to get the wrongest information from your very nervous lips.
Next you'll know your new coach/boss/employeer, you want to make a good impression, but all you hear (from media) is he's a super strict person.
Your coach wants and needs you to learn a playbook ASAP in order to size your value in his scheme in the very near future.

With that in mind. Do you need to meet the fans and media during that session???

NO. Saban wants to handle the team and drive the information where he needs to guide it, he hated when the media said Taylor will be used as LB.
That in NFL business may bust JT price down, because LB are cheaper than DE in this industry. So Nick as smart as ever, handle it quickly and empowers JT value on his defensive system.

Just imagine if Saban might love to open rumors if somebody gets nervous during this rookie camp and drops balls, or whatever comentary gets out of Saban intentions. He clearly guides this ship and loves to have it this way.
