Mini Update On QB Search

Out of all those potentials here is how I like to think our signing priorities lie:

1. Brees if we can get him would be perfect.

2. If not Brees I would love to test Tim Couch. He wasn't that bad in Cleveland and he had no team mates who were worth a damn. In college when he had some talent around him he was God like so giving him a look isn't a bad idea.

3. After those two I would like to see Mcnair. He still has the talent just not the supporting players around him of all the potentials I think he is the least likely not to stay with his current team.

4. I also think a look at Culpepper would be a good last option. I seriously don't think Ramsey would be worth a look at all.
 
i like culpepper cause i like qb's that fumble alot, have come off a serious injury and wants a ****load of money.
 
1. Culpepper (Fits our system better)
2. Brees (Great young QB)
3. McNair + Rookie QB
 
culpepper then brees. then mcnair then brooks.... then lemon
 
no fins qb should ever be allowed to wear 9 again to stay away from bad memories
 
I think Ramsey would do well here. He has a good arm and despite having Spurrier as his coach played pretty good in Washington. He did nothing to lose his job this year, Gibbs for whatever reason has a mancrush on Brunell who admittedly played pretty good this year. Ramsey is still pretty young and has a lot of talent, I think hes a solid REALISTIC option. Im not sure all the other options are realistic and Ramsey certainly can't command millions and millions of guaranteed money. He also is healthy, something Culpepper and Brees arent.
 
In order, I would take:

Drew Brees
Daunte Culpepper
Patrick Ramsey
Tim Couch
Steve McNair

I want our Qb to be young and have the potential to be great for our team.
McNair is past his prime
Culpepper's injury leaves him a question mark
Who knows what Tim Couch can do now
Drew Brees, injury also, but has been reported that he should be ready to throw by May
 
My first choice would be Brees. However, I am a little surprised at how negative most people seem to be towards Couch. I think he could be had cheap and then tested. If he doesn't pan out we don't lose much. If he does we get first round talent for little money. If Brees goes elsewhere then Couch would be my next choice. If that happens I would still draft a viable QB project in the 3rd or 4th round this year.
