Minicamp Day 2 Report

Today wasn’t an OTA and I’m not reading anywhere that they took this mandatory practice off the schedule.
It’s a mandatory OTA so yes its an OTA

Why we trying to be so technical

I see they had a walkthrough so I stand corrected

ORGANIZED TEAM ACTIVITIES

voluntary or mandatory they are both Organized team activities no?

Semantics and who freaking cares
I think if you call something an OTA is gets thought of as voluntary. A lot of veterans skip OTA’s and it’s allowed. If a veteran skips a minicamp they can get fined. I think there’s a good reason to be clear on the wording in this instance, no?

I do not considering there’s so few..

Yeah bills will give us our annual come to Jesus moments.

I think you are underrating how much a toxic lockerroom can impact things.

I’m comfortable saying a top 10 pick is very much in play.
Oh it’s in play for sure, dunno how much I believe these guys when they say things have changed, I’ll wait to reserve judgement there.

I’m hoping that our offensive line gels, I’m hoping the young secondary emerges, I’m hoping our pass rush is the best in the league. I’m hoping we make the playoffs and make some noise.

Realistically, I think Tua will do something dumb in a game like he does every year, so when he misses his annual 6 games then yea I think the wheels come off this thing. I think the offensive line will miss games and we’ll have to suffer watching Eich flopping out there like a fish and that will lead to Tuas injury. So I think Tua plays 10-12 games again and we end up top 10 pick, so I’m aware of how quickly this can go south.

I just think you are a bit too pessimistic about us with Tua playing, at least the early part of the year, he’s shown to be a winning QB when starting. So my prediction is based on how many games we get of Tua early before he gets hurt.

Later on in the year we both know what’s coming with the choke and the excuses, so that’s what I’ve prepped myself for.

In 2024, 6 of his 10 rushes resulted in 1st downs
In 2023, he rushed the ball 2x
In 2022, 5 of his 6 rushes resulted in a 1st down.

Kyle Juszczyk, over the time period, has rushed the ball 17 times with 8 first downs.

So again, what else are you wanting?
That type of production does not warrant a roster spot. Put a DL in his spot and the same job could be done.

I agree on the culture BS . I miss the days when "culture" was taping a rookie to the goalposts or throwing a live alligator in the shower with Coach Shula, ya definitely couldn't fake those kinds of things. I'll bet these guys don't even towel snap each other.
Any time I read towel snap my mind instantly goes to the scene in Ace Ventura when Kim Bokamper imprints his forehead with the ring lol.

My favorite (only?) Fins related movie ever.
