I knew his story before the draft but to see it presented like that left me nearly speechless, thanks for posting.

You have to be great to even make it to the NFL but to me this kid is special.

I saw this right around the draft, it was posted here then. Some of these things are why he was my favorite player in the entire draft. I just hope we use him right, my biggest fear when we drafted him is that the defensive coaches would reduce him to mainly a slot defender. Minkah belongs as a true FS where he can make plays all over the field.

I just think that we got lucky when Minkah Fitz fell into our lap. This will go down as a great Draft pick to help turn the Dolphins around.

we really hit the lotto with this kid...not to mention he is from NJ about 20 miles from where I grew up....high character guy, even more highly athletic with a work ethic like we havent seen in a while from a draft pick....I played pop warner with Coach Hansen's sons, he is a great coach and I am glad we got the Mink!

There is no doubt he is a special kid. Even if he never goes to pro-bowl (I personally believe he will), this is the type player that makes your entire defence better just by being there.

We are lucky to have not one, but two extremely young players that are leaders on defence, one on the LB squad, and the other in the Secondary...as time goes along, we are going to less and less players out of position on the defense.

Saw this right after the draft and used it as a motivational tool for some teens that I mentor. They love it.

Minkah is a special player. He doesn't take nothing for granted and believes in hard work. Where a lot of high draft picks have to take time to understand the professional aspect of being an NFL football player, Minkah's mindset is already there. You don't have to waste a year trying to convince him that he needs to work very hard at his craft.
