In an ideal world I'd still prefer to play Fitzpatrick at FS and our lack of depth behind these 3 concerns me - but wow they aren't half all playing at a high level!

All 3 have been great and I suspect their high quality play has done a lot to ease the effect of our at times spluttering O and shaky play at other D positions. I don't have the stats on hand but their can't be many teams with a better record against the pass than us.

And fair play to Burke - he gets a lot of **** for not getting amazing results from a D that imo has lacked talent while he has been DC but he has been given 3 quality players to work with in the secondary and he is making good use of all 3.

Idk if such a high level of play is sustainable over 16 games, but it's been great to watch over 2 games and is probably a key reason why we are 2-0

We've given up 16 pts a game, have 5 interceptions, 2 Forced Fumbles and are playing like a top 10 defense at worst. Knock the competition, sure, but it's probably the biggest reason we are 2-0.

If TJ could eliminate some of his errors, we'd be looking at a really legit secondary. TJ took his pick brilliantly, his spin move out of contact was a thing of intelligence and beauty. But he missed a key tackle in the backfield and was shaky in coverage multiple times. To be fair to him, there was a lot of good this week mixed in with the bad.

McDonald did a great job on that INT, but hes still sucked the first 2 games. He's a big time liability back there and we are still in desperate need of a real FS. Both him and Jones are just flat out terrible in coverage downfield.

Yea his pick was great fair play to him. But as our starting FS? I'm not buying in. Thought he had at least one bad whiff yesterday

Funny to think, but TJ got that puck playing like more of a LB than a S.

He needs to move there full time and let Minkah man FS.

Can he tackle well enough to play lb? Could that problem get even more exposed at lb? Genuine question

Line em up anyway you want, but Burke has very good tools in the secondary and on the edge.

Our LBs (sub-par) and interior DL (thin depth) are the weak spots but our defense is improving, Minkah is making a difference immediately, and we are young back there.

Keep drafting and building we can have ourselves a top 5 defense that can win with Thill at the helm.
