Ireland should be fired for giving a 2 down linebacker who has never made one impact play $17 million. Kiko alonso was taken in the 2nd round and he already has 4 career ints. Misi has zero. Trusnick plays more than him even when misi is healthy. That is why ireland needs to go he has zero clue how to evaluate talent. Yea lets give a 2 down non impactful linebacker $17 million but let reggie bush walk and give a backup QB $4 million. Makes sense.
 
QB is a more valueable position than RB. These days if you don't have two QBs, you
are in some trouble. I supported the move with Bush, and I support it now. It was and
still is in the best interest of the team, regardless of this season.
 
Misi has improved and I think we saw how important he was by NOT being on the field stopping the run Monday.

Misi is fine.

5 years for $17 mill?

$9 guaranteed and only counts $630,000 in 2013, $1.72 in 2014, $3.84 in 2015, $4.26 in 2016, $4.18 in 2017. Average pay for a decent starting LB.

Not sure what anyone is complaining about?

I've said this over and over on this board. People kicked and screamed when Koa Misi was taken over a "big name" draft hype player, who is not even in the league anymore.

Anyone guess his name?...............Sergio Kindle. (Dude did drop himself on his head)

Yeah, a BIG part of the reason the Bucs were able to run all over the fins was that Misi was out.

He is ranked very high for a reason.

I praise your hate for Ireland, I really do . . . but Misi isn't a problem. In fact, he is your best Linebacker on this team. By far the best tackling one and he's also your best one in coverage. Not sure what more you want. You have him for 5 years at $17 million . . . thats a much better value than both Wheeler and Ellerbe.

As far as Reggie goes, do you really believe it was Ireland who didn't want him here? I think that was all Philbin and Sherman to be honest. They didn't know how to use Reggie and didn't treat him like the leader he showed to be during his tenure with Miami. Remember, Ireland is the guy that brought him here to begin with in 2011.
 
Koa Misi was sorely missed last game. He is probably one of Ireland's better draft picks. I think that he's the only 2nd rounder still around (Jamar Taylor, this year hasn't got playing time and Jonathan Martin now spends his time with his attorney).
Yes, Kiko Alonso is a tackling machine. Apparently he was Dion Jordan's roommate at Oregon and a great draft pick. Buffalo seem to do a decent job drafting underestimated guys and then giving them an opportunity. Poszluzny (another tackling machine) now at Jax was also a good ILB that they drafted.

You mean Parcells . . . Ireland's first draft solo was 2011.

Ugh.... reading this gave me chills.

Reggie was a true team leader. He got the team hype during practice and games and lead by example both on and off the field.

Key part of your statement that "They didn't know how to use Reggie"..... at this point, I don't think they know how to use ANYONE on this team.

Dion Jordan......NOPE!
Mike Wallace, probably one if not the fastest player in the league? NOPE!
Tannehill...Mr. roll out of the pocket....NOPE!

Misi has been a top OLB vs the run since he got here, and well worth his contract. He plays around half the snaps, and can be compared, to a degree, to Soliai who also plays around half the snaps.
 
Misi is a very solid linebacker. Our corps could be good if we cut Wheeler and get a good replacement next season

Can't see that, as it would cost over $10M n the cap. Let's all hope Wheeler turns it around, same as Burnett did in his second year.
