Just caught Misi on the Finsiders, and he said he is coming in at 4:30-5:00 AM to study a learn all he can in order to be able to put the front 7 in the right positions. This may work out.

Seriously should of probably started last year at MLB but we were stubborn after spending all those dollars on the LB position in free agency.

Where is Zach Thomas, I feel his smarts and work ethic were the keys to his success more than his athletic ability. If Misi needs to learn how to read offenses and align a defense he should be learning it from ZT. I wonder why he isn't around like JT is.

Lets hope Zach isn't suffering from early signs of CTE. He took a serious beating over the years. Hopefully he is healthy and enjoying quality time with his family.

It would be nice to see him involved like JT, though, I agree.

philip wheeler could watch tape til his head exploded and it still wouldn't matter...we'll see if misi is any different

Wheeler < Misi

point is you can't really teach guys at lb instincts...i will argue to the death that they either got it or they don't...i haven't seen anything from misi yet that made me think high end lb instinctual play admittedly that was at sam where his strengths as a player fit the mold the most to date...putting him at mike will really be a tell and it will be obvious very early...you can't hide at mike

Hooshoops - I hope you're wrong, but I think you may be right, again. However, it's good to hear that Koa is putting in a huge effort to get better. If he doesn't succeed in the mlb role, it won't be for the lack of trying. He has a big challenge and he's giving it 100% but he doesn't sound too confident. It's interesting, most players really exude confidence, every 2nd day a player is quoted making a confident prediction how he is set for his best year or how the team has Super Bowl in its DNA, but Koa is very humble and honest - he's trying hard but doesn't know if he will succeed in the new role.
If he succeeds, we are going to have a strong Defence (our D-line and DBs are both decent). Koa in the middle permits Ellerbe to revert back to position that he is most comfortable. Many mightn't be aware that Koa is one of Joe Philbin's favorite players on the team (joe has even mentioned his admiration for Koa and the way he plays the game in press conferences).

so the other years he didn't put in extra work . I don't like the move of Misi to MLB , he just doesn't seem suitd to that spot but I guess he could be no worse than the most overpaid linebacker in the league Dannell Ellerbee

Sheesh.... talk about jumping around for Misi.

From 4-3 DE in college to, 3-4 OLB his first couple of years in Miami, to 4-3 OLB, now 4-3 MLB....
