Yestday, I was put in one of the biggest dilemas of my entire life.

As I do every sunday morning during football season. I wake up early check my fantasy roster, drop in to finheaven. Than watch some pre-game before jumping in the shower, and heading down to my local sports bar.

Well, I jump out of the shower (11:00 central time) and getting decked out in my Dolphin gear when my phone rings. Its my grandpa (who has been a Packers season ticket holder since the early 60's). He tells me my uncle came down with the flu and wanted to know if I would like to head up to Lambeu to watch Favre vs the Pack. I told him Id have to call him back. After debating about 20 mins I decided I would go to the Packer game. The hour and half drive to Green Bay was driving me nuts! I was getting automatic updated via text message, when my phone died. I was pissed. Anyways, I got to GB during half time of the Dolphin game, and found a Buffalo Wild Wings with the Ticket. I stayed long enough to see Ginn's 2 TDs. And it seemed the Fins had the game in hand, once I got in the stadium they flashed the score up on the jumbo-tran 30-25 I was going crazy. Couple minutes later they showed it again as a final. So, I breathed a sigh of relief, and enjoyed the atmosphere. And let me tell you it was electric. Wish the Pack would have beat the pants off Favre, but great game non the less.

I was just wondering what my fellow Finheaven brother would have done in my situation??

Say what you want about Favre and how annoying the coverage is, but going yesterday's game is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities. I don't blame you one bit. I've missed Dolphins games for less :(

you tell us. was it worth it?

Well, I missed all the drama of Fin game, but that seems like a weekly occurence with this team. But am a bit dissapointed I missed the game. Especially a big divisonal win. But I must admit, seeing Favre at Lambeu, in Purple, getting booed everytime he touched the ball, is pretty much a once in lifetime oppurtunity. And in the end I guess I am glad I went.

I plan on watching the replay tuesday night on NFL Network. Even though it wont be quite the same.

I'd have gone with my Grandpa. Both of mine have since passed, but the memory you had with him at that packer's game will be far better than the memory of sitting in a bar.

Bro, dont feel bad. Lambeau Field is a very historic place to see a game. It is on my top 10 things to do befire I die list. I'm not even A Packer fan, and I would Love to go see a game there.

True that. I usually go with him a least once a year. Either during the Fins bye week (I went to the Lions Packers two weeks ago during our bye week, crappy game), or on a Monday night when the Fins play sunday.

But yeah, my gramps is a die hard. He has two season tickets and doesnt care who he goes to the game with, but he himself will never miss a game. His passion for football, and the Packers is fun to watch. Its probably where I get my passion for the game (except mine is for the Fins).

Fins play at Lambeu next season and you can bet your a$$ me and gramps will be sitting out there together! Lambeu field is something special, havent seen the Fins win there in a long time. I cant wait.

It would have been tough, but I probably would have gone to the Packer game. I haven't missed a Dolphin game in years, but like others said, yesterday was when Brett returned to the team and place he helped build. History. You can't pass that up.

That being said I hate Brett Favre, but I would've still went.

You made the right choice, u missed a boring 1st half and saw the good stuff in the 2nd! On top of that u saw Mr. wishywashy sweep his former team with ur family! Now if you had tickets to the Fins game that would be a different story lol

I dont even see it as a choice or question.

I would give up never seeing another dolphins game ever again to be able to spend 1 more afternoon with my father or Grandfather.

My Grandfather (Mothers Side) died at 56
My Father died at 46.
