Here's the AFC. No time to look up the NFC.

Jax- 91
Miami- 89
Cleve- 89

We had 13 vs Carolina with Wake having 3, and the Panthers had 3.
 
It doesn't surprise me in the least.

Our tacklers suck at tackling. Just like our blockers suck at blocking.

This game is about blocking and tackling. Same as it was in 1925.
 
Damn, Wheeler is good for 5 missed tackles per game on his own.
 
Our "top ten" with their rank at their position.

Wheeler- 16 MT, #3 at 4-3 OLB. Had 9 all of last year with Oak. Burnett had 11 all of last year.

Grimes- 10 MT, #6 CB. Had 6 in 2011 with 100 fewer snaps.

Clemons- 10, #12 S. Had 9 last year.

Ellerbe- 9, #10 ILB. Had 6 last year with some snaps. Dansby had 9 all of last year.

Wake- 6, #3 4-3 DE. Had 5 last year.

Jones- 6, #14 S. Had 14 last year.

Misi- 5 avg. Had 9 last year.

Vernon- 4, avg. Had 1 last year in limited play.

Starks- 4, avg. Had 6 last year.

It looks like the average is around 69 in the AFC. I'm wondering how many yards after contact, first downs, and TD's resulted from our extra 20 missed tackles, and how many close games they made a difference in. The 13 vs Carolina had to be one, even with everything else that happened.

Also, how many games the lack of MT's won for the Pats with all of their injuries on D.
 
here I thought philbin was a disciplinarian...

thats anything but.

tackling is discipline. plain and simple.
 
Does pff count all the missed plays by wheeler where he never gets a hand in a ball carrier in that tally? Cause you get 3 of those a game and most any big play off tackle run wheeler is reaching in the hole and getting run right by

I know they count a move creating an air tackle but, they have to see a legit chance for the player to make the tackle. Hard to say based on what you describe.

Well then they should count all those plays he's responsible to fill and doesn't big yardage runs we give up...16 seems low...

Should be dinged for terrible instincts vs the run...
 
wheeler is terrible. cut him this offseason if you cant move him. keep ellerbe, I dont know whats up with ellerbe just yet. give me an instinctual kid in the draft over wheeler anyday
 
Wheeler played better at times Sunday than we have seen all season...but god he's killing us with these chunk yardage run gains...killing us

This should help you sort it out from what you have seen. They gave Wheeler 2 MT's vs Carolina, 0 vs SD, 1 vs TB, 4 vs Cinci, and 2 vs NE.
