The Dolphins were one of six teams to attend Missouri Western's Pro Day where Roger Allen performed. Allen, who was invited to the Combine but could not perform because he had surgery for a sports hernia, did 38 bench press reps and ran the 40 unofficially in 5.28.

“Whatever his talent level is, he outshines it as a human being.”
The character endorsement, added to his workout times and scores — along with his years playing for Western — have Allen positioned well for the draft. Some have projected him to go as high as the fourth round. But all the business management major is focused on is getting to a camp — whether as a high or late pick, or as an undrafted free agent.
“Wherever I go, God put me where I need to be,” said Allen, who has one semester of school left before getting his degree. “I’m not really worried about that.”
And the best part about Thursday?
“It’s done. It’s over with,” Allen said. “Now I don’t have to focus on running like a sprinter or on being agile like a dancer. I just want to focus on being an offensive lineman and blocking people. That’s what I am; that’s what I do.”
