The Dolphins can take solace in the fact they won Sunday, but they must get better command of their new defensive calls, which made things 'chaotic,' Zach Thomas said.

Zach Thomas is trying to read the coded signals from the Miami sideline 30 yards away while the dirt from the Dolphins Stadium infield is in his irritated, bloodshot eyes.

The linebacker squints, but his vision is the least of his problems.

As soon as the signal is given, Thomas reads the play off a flip card dangling from his belt like a hand towel, and then he calls out the play to the 10 other Miami defenders on the field.

When I was watching Zach reading that card on the field all I could think was, If I was on the other team I would just rip that thing off during a play and the Dolphins D would be screwed up.
