No-one wants to play Florida in a 5 game series, our pitching can dominate at any given time

If there are two teams in the MLB I dont want to play its Florida and Minnesota

They've been dominant against National League teams. They will scare some teams in the N.L. but whoever wins the N.L. loses in, at the most, 5 games in the World Series.

Once your in the playoffs anything can happen, I agree that the AL is better and has more depth but remember once your there you can take it (just like the NFL) Florida was good in interleague play, so I wouldnt count us out against an AL team, we would have taken 2 of 3 from the Yanks but one of the games we had a lead in got rained out

Id like to see Florida and Minnesota in the World series it would be great pitching, or Florida and Oakland (would be great all around baseball they way it is supposed to be played, 100% all the time)

Bud Selig or the MLB wouldn't because the ratings in those games would be terrible for a WS. Maybe the worst ever.

But I agree I'd like to see Florida play either the A's or Twins (but I don't see that happening realistically).

If your a real baseball fan you would love it, if your just a general fan of the game and enjoy only big names you would hate it.

The ratings would be terrible but the games would be great, and since I will be watching.....I choose great games

Oh I'd watch it because I'm a baseball fan but the "normal" American sports fan won't.

TV ratings in all sports can't be judged or compared to years past. You can only compare them from a year to year basis.

EXAMPLE: Saying in year "X" was the 2nd lowest world series rating ever .....means nothing. And it is misleading if the lowest one ever was the one the year before. Meaning the rating actually jumped.

Back in the day there weren't 400 channles to choose from, OnDemandTV, the Internet...etc. Ratings for TV are NOW judged year to year. Up or Down. Comparing it to a World Series rating in 1987 or 1993 is stupid on all levels.

the lowest rated world series i think was the subway series in 2000

Easily and if there is another subway series this year it will be just as bad. Just b/c anyone outside of NY couldn't care less who won then. But since I am a Mets fan and in NY I would love it...

Most in-state sporting events on a national level get low ratings.

SF-LAA world series tanked. Giants-Bills super bowl was awful ratings wise. A's-Giants world series. A's-Dodgers world series. Royals-Cardinals world series.

Whoever makes it from the AL I think will be a worthy team because the top 4 are all very good teams. If it's not the Mets in the NL I think it's a sweep. Maybe St. Louis can steal a game with Carpenter. The Marlins are basically a .500 team I don't see how that's great all-around baseball. Spin the payroll if you want but I think the point is to see the two best teams play and the Mets are far superior to anyother team in the Triple-A National League.

Just from a time-zone bias I don't want to see an Oakland/Dodgers world series.

If Liriano is healthy the Twins could dominate in a 5 game series but he was just pulled after two innings apparently re-injuring his elbow. He was filthy but I don't think he's going to pitch again if it is indeed the same injury this season.

I think the Yankees have a huge national fan base. It wouldn't be bad baseball. Alot of people don't care about the World Series if their team isn't in it. I still watch but i'm probably in the minority.

Lirano JUST took himself out of the game in the 3rd inning. He's done!

The Yankees are like Notre Dame. People watch to either root for them or root against them. Which TV networks love.
