I think my one complaint would be they need to run pick plays if they are going to throw on 3rd and short against a stacked line and press man coverage.

Edit: I haven’t rewatched yet. Maybe they did and it was poorly executed. Will watch later tonight

One problem if Mostert gets pass the stacked line he is gone for a TD or long gain. Sometimes the revelation of 100 yards rushing in one quarter is the blueprint to stop over thinking and putting your brain in front of basic reality. 100 yards rushing in one quarter is your analytic.

He said something about taking what the defense gives you, its BS. They gave you some 7.5 ypc and you don't think you can get ONE when you need it?

What about closing games out late with a lead? You gonna do that with cute little passes to Smythe? This guy is high on his on supply needs a good rag doll shake to snap him out of it.

In the end, its all in hindsight. I totally understand where he is coming from though.

What If it worked?= oh hes a geniuos
But It didnt= oh lets go find his replacement

Maybe he shouldve got a balance of both the last few series is my opinion.

One thing about MM he has to avoid EGO!

When you're running like that...come on!

Bills knew those quick out routes for 1st were coming and played the ball well. Also too well ending in a pick a few times.

Exactly! Sometimes analytics says this isn't the best move.

But you have to be able to feel the game as a coach.

It’s the throw instead of run Marshawn decision. This is how you are choosing to die in this battle?

You’re running the ball at will the entire game and you’re going to die on the pass on 3rd and short?

I’m not even a run the ball guy, not since we’ve proven we can strike 6 on a single play. I want Tua slinging it.

But we’re running. It’s working. WHAT IS IT THAT YOU ARE FIXING THAT ISNT BROKEN?

What's even crazier is the guy spent much of his time as a Run Game Coordinator(iirc).

Spread the damn ball and give Mostert a chance to get you 1 yard.

That was a weird playcall

if they're sending the house on every 3rd down, incorporate some screens, slants, and go routes.. i mean tyreek and waddle burned them twice for long gains and the bills still weren't playing scared - with 1 on 1 on coverage, make them respect you

My recollection was our last couple of run attempts were one yard or no gain slippy-footing looking affairs.

I remember thinking (in the heavy snowfall) that the Bills had adjusted AND the footing is starting to suck now.

I have to rewatch, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were more bodies in the box to keep us from running.
